Various types of external memories have been proposed and implemented because the storage capacity of LSIs obtained with current technology cannot be used as internal memory, and because of the necessity of using electronic equipment. The main ones include floppy disks and memory packs. These medium memory packs are relatively small and are mainly applied to general electronic equipment, and are increasingly contributing to the expansion of the functions of these electronic equipment, and their applications are expanding.

FIGS. 1A and 1B and FIG. 2 show two types of conventional memory packs and their connection structures to electronic equipment. The structures of memory packs currently in use and their connection structures to electronic devices basically fall into one of these two types. Each of these conventional examples will be briefly explained with reference to the drawings.

In FIGS. 1(a) and (b), 1 is the main body of the electronic device, I
Reference numeral A denotes a memory pack mounting portion provided on the lower surface of the electronic device main body l, 2 a printed wiring board exposed to the memory pack mounting portion IA, and 2A a connector contact provided on the printed wiring board 2. Also, 3 is a memory pack, 3-
1 is a printed wiring board of the memory pack 3, 3-2 is a contact pattern that contacts the connector contact 2A, and 4 is a presser cover of the memory pack 3. In this conventional example, the memory pack 3 is placed in the mounting part IA, the contact pattern 3-2 of the memory pack 3 is pressed against the connector contact 2A, and the memory pack holding lid 4 is hooked on the exterior of the electronic device body. is held down to ensure contact between the connector contact 2A and the contact pattern 3-2.

However, in the electronic device shown in FIG. 1, the memory pack 3 has a relatively large area and cannot be placed on the upper plane of the electronic device, so it is placed on the bottom surface of the electronic device. Therefore, when attaching and detaching, the electronic device must be turned upside down, resulting in poor operability. In addition, the connector contact 2A is usually 1
A contact pressure of about 150 g per piece is required, but this type of memory pack usually has more than 30 contacts, so a total pressing force of 5 to 6 kg is required. Therefore, this pressing force of 5 to 6 kg is the presser foot M4.
This is a serious drawback in that the presser cover 4 and the exterior are deformed, making it impossible to maintain a constant contact pressure and causing poor contact.

The electronic device 1' is provided with an insertion hole IA' into which the memory pack 3' is vertically inserted. Printed wiring board 2
A connector 5 having connector contacts 5-1 is provided on the top of the memory pack 3', and as shown in the figure, the printed wiring board 3'-1 of the memory pack 3' inserted through the insertion hole IA'' is press-fitted into the connector 5. Electrical contact can be obtained between the contact pattern 3'-2 of the board 3'-1 and the connector contact 5-1.In this structure, since the memory pack 3 can be installed vertically, a large area is not required, and therefore the electronic It can be arranged on the top surface of the device main body 1'.Also, the contact between the connector contact 5-1 and the contact pattern 3'-2 is made through the connector 5.
Since this is done by a chisel, no contact pressure is applied to the exterior as shown in FIG. Therefore, there is no possibility that the contact pressure cannot be maintained due to deformation of the exterior.

However, in the structure shown in FIG. 2, since the printed wiring board 3'-1 is directly inserted into and removed from the connector,
Another drawback is that the contact pattern 1 and the contact pattern 3'-2 on the substrate are constantly rubbed and worn, resulting in poor durability of the contact portion, resulting in a decrease in reliability.

The operation when removing the memory pack 13 from the connector device 19 will be explained. When the memory pack eject key 12-1 on the keyboard 2'' is pressed, a signal is input to the drive control circuit 18 of the connector 1 lid device 19 under the control of the control program in the CPU 15, causing the motor 19-7 to rotate. This rotation is decelerated by the gear train 19-5, and the torque is increased and transmitted to the cam 19-2, and the cam 19-2 rotates at a predetermined number of rotations. cam 1
When the cam 9-2 rotates, the cam driven shaft 19-IB, which is supported by the operating lever 19-A, moves in the direction of arrow B on the cam surface of the cam 19-2.
The operating lever 19-A rotates about the rotational fulcrum 19-D against the spring force of the connector contact 19-E. On the other hand, at the other end of the connector contact, the hook of the operating lever 19-A is engaged with the portion 19-H,
As the connector operating lever 19-A rotates, the memory pack 13 is pulled away from the contact pattern 13-3.

As this state progresses further, when the lifting member 19-F pushed upward by the leaf spring 19-■ disengages from the operation lever 19-A (at that point, the connector contact 9- E is located at a distance of light distance from the memory pack 3), and the elevating member 19-F rises in the direction of arrow C by the leaf spring 19-I to push up the memory pack 13.

The state shown in FIG. 7 is maintained even though the spring force -E is acting. At this time, when the l-cycle detection cam 19-4, which is supported by the shaft 19-3 of the cam 19-2, rotates and brings the detection contact 19-9 into contact with the detection contact 19-8, a signal indicating the end of one cycle is sent to the drive control. Input to circuit 18 and motor 19
-7 is turned off, and 1 cycle of 4 operations is completed. The state shown in FIG. 7(b) shows the standby state for memory pack attachment, and at this time, as shown in the figure, the connector contact 19-E is connected to the memory pack insertion part 1.

The connector contact 19-E is connected to the contact pattern 13-3 of the memory pack 13 in the direction of the insertion portion 19-G. It advances in the direction in which it comes into contact with , and finally reaches the state shown in FIG. As a result, the memory pack 13 is attached to the predetermined position 5, and at the same time, the connector contact 19-E is pressed against the contact pattern 13-3 of the memory pack 13 with a constant contact pressure.

What is important here is that before the memory pack 13 is inserted, the connector contact 19-E is connected to the insertion part 19-E of the memory pack 13.
The connector contact 19-E enters into the memory pack 13 side and presses into contact with the memory pack 13 almost immediately after the insertion is completed without contacting any part of the memory pack 13 during the process of inserting the memory card 13. It's all about timing and mechanics. With this configuration, the drawbacks of the conventional example shown in FIG. 2 are solved. In addition, in the connector device of this embodiment, all of the pressure contact force of the connector contact 19-E is processed inside the connector body 19-1, so the drawbacks of the conventional example shown in FIG. 1 are naturally solved6. .
