のオフセット量が多くなるとともに定着ローラはトナー
との付着力が強く、トナーが定着ローラ上に付着し続け
る。しかも、トラペンは所謂再オフセットが起りにくく
、定着ローラに付着したトナーは該定着ローラの回転に
よって再びトラペンに接触しても除去されない上、トラ
ペンは平滑な樹脂表面でトナーを定着ローラ中に押し込
む力が1 働く、この結果、定着ローラにオフセットし
たトナーがゴムローラ組織中に押し込まれて該ゴムロー
ラの表面状態を変化させ、耐久性を激減させるものであ
る。

り、オフセット防止剤を含浸させたウェブにより定着ロ
ーラにオフセット防止剤を塗布するもの、オフセント防
止剤塗布と定着ローラのクリーニングを行うもの、ウェ
ブにオフセット防止剤を含むことなく定着ローラをクリ
ーニングするものなどがある。

したとき、該樹脂状の記録材の加熱定着後、樹脂状記録
材に後続して、クリーニングシートを前記両ローラ間に
通過させて、ローラのクリーニングを行うクリーニング
シート給送手段とを設けたことを特徴とする画像記録装
置である。
