The flat cable manufactured by such a manufacturing method has the following drawbacks when processing the terminals for classifying the conductor l into a plurality of types. That is, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the conductor 1a to be identified
Only the insulator 2 is cut to a certain length using a cutter 3 from above.

The insulator 2 is then stripped from predetermined locations as indicated by the arrows in the figure. In this way, the conductor 1a to be identified is cut by the force/interval 3 as described above and is shorter than the other conductors l, so the type of conductor l can be identified by the difference in the length of the conductor 1 at this terminal. However, if the pitch error between conductors 1 is large, the conductor 1 that you want to identify
There is a risk of damaging other conductors 1 when cutting with the cutter 3 of a. Further, two steps are required: cutting the conductor 1a to be identified with the cutter 3 and stripping the insulator 2.

That is, the present invention arranges a plurality of conductors at a predetermined pitch,
A flat cable manufacturing method in which an insulator is extruded and coated on these conductors after they are juxtaposed, and the method is characterized in that when the conductors are juxtaposed, a release agent or adhesive is applied to the end of the conductor that is desired to be identified among the multiple conductors, and the conductors are juxtaposed. As a result, when a mold release agent is applied, the adhesion strength between the conductor and insulator to be identified is smaller than the adhesion strength between a conductor and an insulator without other mold release agent applied. Conversely, when an adhesive is applied, the adhesion strength between the conductor and insulator to be identified becomes greater than the adhesion strength between the other conductor and insulator to which no adhesive is applied.

The present invention will be explained below based on the illustrated embodiments. FIG. 3 shows a flannel cable according to one embodiment of the present invention. Note that parts that are the same as those in the prior art are designated by the same reference numerals, and therefore their explanations will be omitted. In this embodiment, when the conductors 1 are juxtaposed, a mold release agent 4 is applied to the end of the conductor 1a to be identified among the plurality of conductors 1, and the conductors 1 are juxtaposed. By doing this, it becomes possible to perform the terminal treatment of the conductor 1a to be identified by stripping the insulator 2, and it is possible to obtain a flat cable manufacturing method in which the terminal treatment is easy.

That is, when the conductors 1 are arranged side by side at a predetermined pitch, a mold release agent 4 such as silicone is applied to the end of the conductor 1a that is to be identified, and the insulator 2 is extruded and coated after the arrangement.
・Manufactured the cable. When processing the terminal end of the flat cable manufactured in this manner, it is sufficient to strip the insulator 2 from a predetermined location as indicated by the arrow in FIG. In this way, the conductor 1a to be identified can be shortened and identified as shown in Fig. 4, without having to cut the conductor 1a to be identified from above the insulator 2 with a cutter as in the conventional method. It becomes like this. In other words, since the conductor 1a to be identified is coated with the mold release agent 4, the adhesion strength between the conductor 1a to be identified and the insulator 2 is the same as that of the conductor 1 and the insulator 2 to which no mold release agent 4 is applied. It becomes smaller than the adhesion strength. Therefore, the tensile force of the conductor 1a to be identified is reduced when the insulator 2 is stripped, so the elongation of the conductor 1a to be identified by the strip is smaller than the elongation of the conductor 1 not coated with the release agent 4, and the stripping The length of the conductor 1a to be identified later becomes shorter than the length of the other conductors, and the conductor 1a to be identified can be identified. In this way, the terminals can be processed only by stripping the insulator 2, and there is no need to cut them with a cutter, so damage to the conductor 1 can be prevented.

In this embodiment, the mold release agent 4 was applied to the end of the conductor 1a to be identified when manufacturing the flat cable.
The present invention is not limited to this, and an adhesive may be applied. In this case, the adhesion strength between the conductor 1 & to be identified and the insulator 2 is greater than the adhesion strength between the conductor 1 and the insulator 2 to which no other adhesive is applied. Therefore, should the conductor 1a be identified when stripping the insulator 2? Since the tensile force J increases, the elongation of the conductor 1a to be identified by the strip becomes greater than the elongation of the other conductor l to which no adhesive is applied, and the same effect as in the case described above can be achieved.
