Currently, old tires are recycled by old tire processing companies.
The beads are removed and sold to recycled rubber companies, but
For example, it is possible to shred old tires from large trucks, buses, large civil engineering vehicles, etc., but due to the high cost of mechanical cutting and low efficiency, many companies avoid recycling and actually collect them into recycled rubber. The rate is extremely low.

In addition, steel tires, which have been increasing in number recently, cannot be machined, and there is a strong need for an inexpensive and efficient cutting method for these old tires. Incidentally, an explosive crushing method is known as one of the methods for crushing relatively hard and brittle materials such as wood and rocks.

This method utilizes the so-called Neumann effect of explosives.
As shown in Fig. 1, when a chevron-shaped liner 2 is placed on top of a solid material to be cut, for example, an iron plate 1, and an explosive 3 is placed on top of it and detonated, the fertilization force is produced in a straight line as shown by the arrow. It spreads in a straight line, builds up in the center, descends directly below, and cuts the iron plate 1 from the c line. As this liner material, iron, copper, aluminum plates, pipes, etc. of any size have conventionally been used. On the other hand, elastic materials such as tire rubber have conventionally been widely used as buffering materials for explosive energy, and no proposal has been made to cut such buffering materials using explosives.

This kind of idea was rather at odds with the idea of subordination. The inventors of the present invention, while conducting intensive research in search of a cheap and efficient cutting method for old tires, discovered that the Neumann effect of explosives is sufficiently effective for cutting old tires if conditions are appropriately selected. This unexpected result was discovered, and the present invention was completed.

In order to pass the easy-to-form porcine explosive and cut it with a sharp cutting surface, it is necessary to use an explosive with a much higher trench velocity than that used in conventional explosive crimping and explosive forming processing, etc. It is necessary to have an image speed of 3500 m'sec or more.

In addition, the shape of the loaded explosive is as shown in Figure 2A.
It is better to make the central top part of the chevron liner thicker. Regarding the liner used in the present invention, in the conventional explosive cutting method, iron, copper, aluminum, and other metals are all cited as effective materials for the liner, but experimental results by the present inventors show that ,
Aluminum, aluminum alloys, magnesium, magnesium alloys, etc. are effective, iron liners are considerably inferior to these, steel liners are inferior to iron, and hard plastic liners are even inferior.

From these results, it is considered that a material that is light, has good rice flying properties, and is not very brittle is suitable as a liner material.
The shape and thickness of the liner may be appropriately designed depending on the amount of twill, the thickness and toughness of the old tire, etc. For example, if an old tire from a large truck has multiple thick steel wires in the bead, the liner needs to be thicker, and if the steel wire is relatively thin or a small steel radial In the case of tires, etc., a thin liner may be used, but it is desirable that the wall thickness of the aluminum liner or magnesium liner is set within the range of approximately 1 to 5 mm. The internal angle of the Yamagata liner is 60 to 110
Preferably, the angle range is 0.

However, it is actually difficult to closely arrange the liner at a constant angle on the highly uneven outer surface of the tire, and even if the liner angle is set to 900 degrees, it is inevitable that the liner will fall within a range of about ±20 degrees in some cases. Therefore, the design should be designed to ensure that explosive cutting is completely performed, taking into account such variations. In addition, in order to adjust the gap between the tire to be cut and the explosive, it is possible to load the explosive only near the top of the liner, as shown in Figure 2A, and use the lower part of the liner simply for adjusting the gap, or to use the lower part of the liner simply for gap adjustment, as shown in Figure 2B. Providing a spacer 4 at the bottom as shown in FIG. 2C, or making the liner have a tubular cross-section as shown in FIG.

In order to explosively cut old tires for large trucks with a diameter of 1.5 cm (2.5 mm), an aluminum liner 2 (3 mm x 3 mm x 3 mm x 150 mm) with an internal angle of 900 mm is placed on the outer surface of the old tire as shown in Figure 2A. Wrap the liner along the unevenness of the liner, and then wrap a porcine explosive with a cross section of 23 on the back of this liner.

At this time, the amount of explosive in the wire part 6 was 190/100Z, and in the other parts was 125/1002. When the old tire set in this way was detonated from one end with an electric tube as shown in Figure 3 and exploded and cut, the result was as shown in Figure 5A.
As shown in the perspective part 7, both the wire rope 6 and the tire part were cut perfectly, and the cut surface was not an uneven fracture surface that looked like it had been ripped off, but a fracture surface that was so sharp that it was hard to believe that it had been cut by an explosion. .

At this time, the explosion amount of 6 parts of the wire was set to 75/100 m2, and the explosion amount of the other wires was set to 75 m/100 m/m. When explosives placed vertically on a steel radial tire were detonated from one end using an electric detonator to cause an explosive cut, both the wire section 6 and the tire section were successfully cut, and the explosive cut surface of the steel radial tire was As in Example 1, the fracture surface was sharp.

・After the above experiments were completed, we compared the cutting conditions of each type and found that, apart from the imperfections in cutting, those using aluminum or magnesium liners had a sharp fracture surface that was equivalent to mechanical cutting. On the other hand, the fracture surface caused by steel or iron liner exhibited a rather disordered fracture surface that looked like it had been cut.

As explained above, by adopting the method of the present invention, which uses the energy of explosives to cut rubber (old tires), which has conventionally been used as a buffer material when explosives explode,
It has become easier and cheaper to cut up various types of old tires, promoting the collection and recycling of various types of old tires that were previously left uncollected and left piled up in the open, and making a major contribution to the recycled rubber industry. Became.
