DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to oral compositions such as toothpaste and profilakis paste, and more specifically to oral compositions containing alumina anhydride (Al2O3) with a gelatinization rate of 15 to 85%. .

Abrasives, which are generally added to oral compositions such as toothpaste and profilakis paste, have a high ability to efficiently remove stains, plaque, food particles, and other substances adhering to teeth by physical action as a tooth cleaning base. , has excellent cleaning ability, mild polishing and polishing properties that do not damage tooth surfaces, and gives excellent gloss to teeth.
What is desired is something that can smooth the tooth surface and prevent the deposition of plaque and tartar.

In this case, the efficiency of physical removal of stains, plaque, food particles, etc. can be increased by increasing the abrasive power of the abrasive. However, increasing the polishing power is generally contradictory to preventing damage to the tooth surface and adding gloss to the tooth surface. It becomes easy to scrape and damage the tooth surface, sometimes causing wedge-shaped defects, and the polishing force is too high, damaging the tooth surface and reducing the gloss of the tooth surface.

In particular, with Profilakis paste, the main purpose is to remove strongly deposited stain, plaque, tartar, etc., so care is taken to ensure that the polishing force is sufficiently large, and consideration is given to damage to the tooth surface. Currently, very little is being done. When brushing teeth, care is taken not to damage the tooth surface, but there are very few things that can improve the gloss of the tooth surface. For this reason, there has been a demand for an abrasive that does not damage tooth surfaces, gives gloss to tooth surfaces, has appropriate abrasive power, and has excellent cleaning effects. The present inventors conducted extensive research in order to meet the above demands, and found that alumina anhydride (A1.O0) with a gelatinization rate of 15 to 85% has a high glossing effect on tooth surfaces, and has a moderate polishing effect. The present invention was based on the discovery that the alumina anhydride has properties suitable as an abrasive and brightener for toothpaste, profilakis paste, etc. It is known that α-alumina anhydride is used as an abrasive for toothpaste and the like. However, conventional α-alumina anhydride has a gelatinization rate of 90%.
However, as shown in the experimental examples described below, particles in the normal particle size range do not have a sufficient gloss imparting effect on the tooth surface, and their abrasive power is too high. In addition to the α type, as alumina anhydride, γ with a gelatinization rate of 0%,
Types such as ni are also known, but these also do not have a sufficient gloss imparting effect. Furthermore, an alumina anhydride with a pregelatinization rate lower than 15% and an alumina anhydride with a pregelatinization rate higher than 85% are mixed, and the apparent pregelatinization rate of the mixture as a whole is 15~15%.
Even if adjusted to a range of 85%, there is no gloss imparting effect.

However, anhydrous alumina with a gelatinization rate of 15 to 85% has an excellent gloss imparting effect, and thus anhydrous alumina with a gelatinization rate of 15 to 85% provides excellent gloss to the tooth surface. This provision is a new finding of the present inventors.

As mentioned above, the alumina anhydride used in the present invention has a pregelatinization rate of 15 to 85%, but the pregelatinization rate is in a more preferable range from the viewpoint of imparting gloss to the tooth surface and imparting appropriate polishing power. is 30-75%.

Further, the average particle size of the alumina anhydride used in the present invention is not necessarily limited, but is preferably 10 μm or less,
If the particle size is too large, the gloss imparting effect may deteriorate. In particular, when the gelatinization rate is 60 to 85%, it is most preferable that the average particle size is 5 μm or less in terms of gloss imparting and polishing power. In addition, the amount of alumina anhydride with a gelatinization rate of 15 to 85% is appropriately selected depending on the type of oral composition, purpose of use, etc., and is not particularly limited, but is usually 0.5 to 5%.
It is 0% by weight.

Next, the gloss improvement effect and polishing power of each alumina anhydride was investigated using the following method. Gloss improvement measurement method 5×5T! ! Bovine teeth cut into n-sized pieces were embedded in resin, and the surface of the bovine tooth enamel was smoothed with a rotary polisher, followed by polishing with NOl2OO emery paper, and polishing and buffing with calcium hydrogen phosphate anhydrate. The enamel surface was treated to have a gloss level of 80.0±2.0 using a gloss meter (Nippon Denshoku Kogyo Co., Ltd. GLOSSMETER G-10).

The results are also listed in Table 1. From the results in Table 1 and Figures 1 and 2, it is clear that anhydrous alumina with a gelatinization rate of 15 to 85%, especially 30 to 75%, has a good effect on improving tooth enamel gloss and has a moderate polishing power. It is found that On the other hand, it has been found that the usual α-alumina anhydride having a gelatinization rate of 90% or more has a small gloss improvement effect and has the problem of excessively high polishing force. In addition, the normal gelatinization rate is 90%
Even if a mixture of the above α-alumina anhydride and γ-alumina with a gelatinization rate of 0% is used at a weight ratio of 1:1, the effect of improving gloss is small, and those with a different gelatinization rate (the gelatinization rate of the present invention) outside the range), and the mixture as a whole has an apparent α
It was found that even if the gelatinization rate was adjusted to the gelatinization rate range of the present invention, the object of the present invention could not be achieved. Examples are shown below.
