Claims (1)
- 軸部に筒状部を設けたケースと、上記筒状部に半径方向
外方に突出形成した突起と、この突起を含む筒状部に対
して軸方向に摺動自在に設けな従動リングと、この従動
リングの内周に形成した環状溝と、この環状溝の内壁面
と上記突起との間に介在されて、上記従動リングとケー
スとの間の液密を保持するとともに従動リングの抜止め
部材となる弾性を有する環状のシール部材と、上記ケー
スと従動リングとの間に弾装され、その従動リングをシ
ールプレートに弾接させるばねとを備えるウォーターポ
ンプ用メカニカルシールにおいて、上記シール部材が突
起に接触しない範囲を円周方向角度で１３５度以下とし
たことを特徴よするウォーターポンプ用メカニカルシー
ル。
