Claims (1)
- ハウジングに圧入嵌着されるケースと、このケースのハ
ウジングへの嵌着部外周面にコーティングされてケース
とハウジングとの間め液密を保つシール部材と、上記ケ
ースに摺動自在に設けた従動リングと、この従動リング
と上記ケースとの間の液蜜を保持するシール部材と、上
記ケースと従動リングとの間に弾装され、その従動リン
グをシールプレートに弾装させるばねとを備えるウォー
ターポンプ用メカニカルシールにおいて、上記ケースの
ハウジングへの嵌着部外周面に形成された環状凹部、又
は上記嵌着部とこれから半径方向外方に延びる位置決め
用フランジ部との湾曲部外周面に、上記ケースとハウジ
ングとの間の液密を保つシール部材をコーティングした
ことを特徴とするウォーターポンプ用メカニカルシール
。
