Conventionally, a compressed plate obtained by heat-pressing a viscose material is cut into absorbent strips, and the absorbent strips are sealed in a sterile bag to form surgical absorbent materials, and absorbent strips with handles, etc. attached, etc. However, in both cases, fine powder may be generated from the cut edge of the absorbent strip, the cut surface, or the surface of the absorbent strip, and the fine powder may fall into the surgical field during the absorption of blood, pus, etc. There were other drawbacks.

In addition, there was a gap between the process of cutting the pressing board and the process of sealing it in a sterile bag, which caused it to absorb humidity in the air extremely easily.

The absorbent strip A is held with tweezers or similar so that the sharp edge 1 lightly touches the incision to absorb blood, pus, etc. that overflow from the surgical field, and when used, the surgical field will be contaminated with bacteria, etc. After the aseptic treatment process, the aseptic bag C and the aseptic bag B are double-sealed and provided, and the aseptic bags are opened at the time of use.

The sterile bag C is made of a transparent plastic film, and the sterile bag B is made by adhering a transparent plastic film 4 onto a mount 6 at the peripheral adhesive part 3 of the mount 6, leaving a non-adhesive part 5.

Further, if a part of the adhesive part 3 is made sticky and absorbent strips remain in the bag after use, it is also possible to make it stick again even after opening the bag.

Since the absorbent strip A is formed by compressing the viscose material under heating, even if there is a laminate layer 2 on one or both sides, it can easily and quickly absorb blood and pus from the cut surface, and it also absorbs a large amount of blood and pus. Since the absorbent strip A swells to several times its original volume and has a large absorption effect, it is useful as an absorbent material for fine surgical fields such as ophthalmic surgery.

In addition, since it has a laminate layer 2, it is easy to cut,
There is no generation of fine powder from the edges of the cut portion or the surface of the absorbent strips as in the conventional method, and there is also the effect of preventing the absorption of atmospheric humidity during the manufacturing process and storage.
