出部1,2によって単位時間毎に検出される燃料残量の
平均値を逐どこ算出する第1の演算部3と、車両の速度
を検出する車速検出部9と、前記第1の演算部3からの
燃料残量の平均値と前記燃料残量検出部1,2からの最
新の燃料残量とを比較して、両者の差が所定範囲外でか
つ前記車速検出部9によって車両の速度が零であること
が検出されたときに制御信号を出力する比較回路10と
、エンジンに供給する燃料噴射量を制御する電子式燃料
噴射装置用制御回路から得られる燃料噴射量に応じたパ
ルス幅を有する燃料噴射パルスに基づいて単位時間当り
の燃料消費量を検出する燃料消費量検出部6,7と、前
記比較回路10からの制御信号によって制御され、該制
御信号の受信直前における前記第1の演算部3から出力
された燃料残量の平均値から、前記制御信号の受信後に
おける前記燃料消費量検出部6,7からの単位時間当り
の燃料消費量の積算値を差し引いた燃料残量を算出する

前記制御信号の受信時には前記第2の演算部8からの演
