    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. ハウジング内周に嵌着される半裁断面路コ字形の外筒内
    に装着したシールリングと、回転軸に従動する半裁断面
    路コ字形のケース内に装着したフローティングシートと
    により密封摺動面を形成する向流型メカニカルシールに
    おいて、前記シールリングとフローティングシートの前
    記密封摺動面の内周側周端部に略対称な円錐面を形成す
    るとともに、前記外筒またはケースの一方または双方の
    内径筒部先端を前記密封摺動面の内周位置まで延設し、
    該先端を路外周方向にわずかに屈曲形成して、該内径筒
    部周面に流体溜り部を設けてなることを特徴とするメカ
    ニカルシール。
