The cables had to be placed in a narrow and complicated space, making the installation extremely difficult. In order to eliminate such problems, there has been a demand for the development of a connecting device that can divide the sheathed measurement wire into a plurality of parts and connect them on-site. However, if the sheath type measurement wire is divided, water vapor etc. will enter from the outside into the ends and connections, impairing the insulation properties and causing deterioration of the insulating material, resulting in problems such as reduced durability. Developing such a connecting device has been difficult.

A gas exhaust hole is formed in the sleeve and sealed after exhausting the gas inside the sleeve. Therefore, the sheath type measurement line can be connected freely, making it easy to install the sheath type measurement line, and after the connection is made, the connection part is heated to release the internal aquatic liquid and other gases from the gas exhaust hole of the sleeve. If the exhaust hole is then sealed by welding, etc., a complete airtight seal can be obtained, and since the internal gas such as water vapor will be exhausted, the heat resistance and durability of the sheathed measurement wire may be impaired. There is no such thing.

is a sheathed measurement line, for example a sheathed thermal lightning pair,
11 is its sheath, and 12a and 12b are core wires. A cylindrical collar 15 is welded to the outer periphery of the sheath 11 at the connecting end of each of these thermal lightning pairs 10 in an airtight manner. A cylindrical sleeve 16 is slidably fitted around the outer periphery of these collars 15, and both ends of this sleeve 16 are hermetically welded to the outer periphery of the collar 15. Therefore, the thermal lightning pair 10 is mechanically connected by the collar 15a3 and the sleeve 16. Note that 18, 19, 20, and 21 are welded parts. In addition, a protector 1 is attached to the tip of the collar 15.
7 are welded to each other to protect the welded portion 18 between the collar 15 and the sheath 11. The core wires 12a and 12b of the thermocouple 10 are drawn out from within the sheath 11, and are welded together within the sleeve 16 to be electrically connected. Further, an insulator 22 and an insulating plug 23 made of a heat-resistant and electrically insulating material are attached to the end of the thermocouple 10, and an insulator 24 is housed in the sleeve 16. , an insulating plug 23, and an insulator 24 electrically insulate the core wires 12a and 12b. Further, a gas exhaust hole 26 is formed in the sleeve 16, and after welding the sleeve 16, etc., this joint is heated, and gas such as water vapor inside the sleeve 16 is exhausted from the gas exhaust hole 26. The gas exhaust hole 26 is later sealed by welding or the like to form a hermetic seal.
