Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a beautiful finish without requiring a large amt. of water and a washing place by using only a small amt. of water for removing stains and spreading wax. CONSTITUTION:The water about half a bucket is prepared, and sponges are dipped into the water and then squeezed tight to remove the water. Then the sponges are impregnated with a samll amt. of wax, and stains on the coated surface are wiped out while spreading the wax on the coated surface of a vehicle. The soiled sponges are washed with water, and the application of the wax and the wiping out of the stains are further repeated several times. A pasty, a liquid, and a sprayed wax consisting essentially of silicone oil and a silicone resin and contg. <=50wt% wax basing on the weight of the oil and the resin is used, and the surface is sufficiently wiped with a dry soft cloth, etc. after application.

Painted surfaces of automobiles and other vehicles are exposed to dust, rain, soot, sea breeze,
When exposed to sunlight and other natural environments, stains, cracks, discoloration, and loss of luster occur. Wax is applied to remove such stains, prevent deterioration, and protect the painted surface.

Based on the above-mentioned circumstances, the inventor of the present invention has conducted extensive studies on a method of applying wax to the painted surface of a vehicle that does not require cleaning in advance, and has found that it requires only a very small amount of water, but does not require a cleaning operation. We have discovered a method that can simultaneously achieve the application of wax and the cleaning effect without having to do so. The present invention is based on this knowledge.

The present invention will be explained in detail below. The present invention is characterized in that there is no need to pre-wash using a large amount of water, but a small amount of water is used for removing stains and applying wax (spreading). In other words, prepare at least 1/2 bucket of water. First, soak a sponge in this water and wring it out to remove the water. Next, the sponge is soaked in a small amount of wax, and the wax is spread over the painted surface of the vehicle while wiping off dirt from the painted surface. Wash dirty sponges with water, and then repeat applying this wax and wiping off the dirt several times.

As the sponges, foamed ones made of urethane, rubber, or plastic are used. Sponges contain mud and sand, which are the components of dirt, in their voids and do not damage painted surfaces. Also, wax can be contained in the voids and gradually oozed out. It is preferable to use a foamed sponge with large pores when the stain is severe, and to use a foamed sponge with small pores when the stain is not so severe. Therefore, it is preferable to use a material made by laminating two types of sponges with different foam porosity. Further, a concave portion with a capacity of 3 to 1 Occ is provided approximately at the center of the sponge, so that the wax to be used can be measured.

In the present invention, dirt can be wiped off with a sponge soaked in a small amount of water, but on the other hand, this water tends to cause uneven coating of wax. To prevent this uneven coating, use a solvent with a high boiling point and a low molecular weight silicone oil (approx.
It is preferable to use a wax that contains about 100 g of cps and spread it slowly and thoroughly. It is also preferable to use as little wax as possible to prevent uneven coating. Generally, fuchs include natural or synthetic wax, silicone,
It contains a solvent and a surfactant if necessary, and is in solid, paste, liquid, or spray form, but in the case of the present invention, in order to provide sufficient gloss and durability with a small amount of wax, it is necessary to use wax as a wax. Mainly made of silicone oil and silicone resin, with natural or synthetic wax and silicone oil.
It usually contains 50% by weight or less, preferably 30% by weight or less, and more preferably does not contain it at all, based on the total amount of recon resin, and paste, liquid, and spray forms are used, and liquid emulsion types are particularly preferred. It will be done.

After that, when it dries, wipe it with a soft cloth, and the painted surface will have a beautiful luster, providing durable protection and beauty. According to the present invention, wax can be applied to the painted surface of a vehicle easily, quickly, and with a good finish without requiring the troublesome work of cleaning before applying the wax. Next, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples.

Example 1 Prepare 1/2 bucket of water. Soak a sponge with a concave part in the center (acts as a measuring cup, about 4 cc per cup) in water and squeeze to drain the water. Wax (silicon oil 3.5% by weight, silicone resin 1.
Pour a solution of 2% by weight, 10% by weight of solvent (kerosene), 0.5% by weight of surfactant (Nonipol 120, Sanyo Chemical), and 5% by weight of abrasive (Jilton A, Mizusawa Chemical) into the concave part of the sponge. I applied it lightly on the hood of my car. This one
I was able to coat half of the bonnet with just a few strokes of force. The sponge got dirty so I washed it with a bucket of water and applied wax to the other half of the hood in the same way. Similarly, there are 2 cups on the ceiling of the car, 1 cup on the trunk, and 2 cups on each side for a total of 4 cups, making a total of 9 cups for one car (approximately 45cm).
c) was painted. After the applied wax had dried, I buffed it off with a cloth and a beautiful glossy finish was obtained.
