The present invention relates to an improvement in the structure of a moving cable attached to moving industrial machinery, equipment, etc. Cables for transportation are required to be flexible and hard to break even when subjected to repeated bending, and cabtire cables are usually used. Its structure is shown in FIG. 1 and will be explained. Reference numeral 1 denotes a conductor, and a flexible twisted conductor (thin strands of wire constituting the conductor) is used to improve flexibility and make it strong against repeated bending. Examples of commonly used conductor configurations are shown below. Conductor sash Conductor composition 2 mm 2 37 wires / 0.26 mm 3.5 mm 2 45 wires / 0.32 mm 5.5 mm 2 70 wires / 0.32 mm (Note): 37 wires / 0.26 mm is 37 wires of 0.26 mm twisted together. Show that. same as below. 2 is an insulator (mainly a vinyl mixture or a rubber mixture), and the necessary number of wire cores 3 coated with this insulator are twisted together with an inclusion (4) (juute, vinyl mixture, rubber mixture, etc.), and then protected. It is covered with a sheath 5 (vinyl mixture or rubber mixture, so-called cabtyre sheath). The twisting pitch of the wire cores 3 is made small in order to improve flexibility and to increase resistance to repeated bending. As described above, cab tire cables are designed to be difficult to break even if they are repeatedly bent. However, after long-term use, the conductor may break.
A situation occurs where power cannot be supplied to mechanical equipment and the equipment has to be shut down. To restore this, it is necessary to replace the cable, but sometimes there is no spare cable, or even if there is a spare cable, it takes a long time to replace it, and the machine equipment is stopped due to breakdowns. can be large. Therefore, if it is possible to predict in advance that such a disconnection accident is likely to occur, it is possible to prepare an alternative cable, and the cable can be replaced during a periodic suspension such as during a periodic inspection, so it is possible to prevent a sudden breakage accident during use. This makes it possible to prevent wire breakage. The present invention was devised in view of the above points, and in order to predict conductor breakage in the moving cable being used, a breakage detection wire is inserted into the conventional cabtire cable. As the disconnection detection wire, a conductor that is more easily disconnected than the conductor of the wire core 3 used for power supply is inserted.
By checking the continuity or conductor resistance of the conductor of this detection wire on a daily basis, it is possible to know the degree of risk of disconnection in the wire core used for power supply. Now, regarding the conductor used as the disconnection detection wire, this includes the core conductor 1 used for power supply.
Due to the need to break the wire sooner, conductor 1
Use a wire with a larger diameter than the wire used for.
When it is necessary to reduce the outer diameter of the disconnection detection wire, the number of strands of the conductor used as the disconnection detection wire may be smaller than the number of strands of the wire core used for power supply. For example, if it is 2 mm 2 , the conductor 1 used for power supply usually has a conductor configuration of 37 wires/0.26 mm, so the conductor of the disconnection detection wire should have a thick conductor strand diameter and We will be using a configuration with fewer wires, 20 wires/0.32mm. This method takes advantage of the fact that, at the same bending radius, conductor wires with a larger diameter will break more quickly due to repeated bending or tension than those with a thinner conductor wire diameter, regardless of the number of wires. . 2 and 3 show cross-sectional views of the moving cable with disconnection detection wire of the present invention.
