The purpose of this is to configure the frequency display so that it can be easily seen not only by the driver but also by passengers, regardless of the mounting position of the radio receiver body, and also to allow the display to double as a digital clock display. This is how it was done.

の操作が非常に面倒であつた。 Traditionally, when it comes to equipment such as instruments, radio receivers, and clocks installed on automobile instrument panels, priority has been given to the functions of the automobile.
Speedometers, fuel gauges, engine tachometers, clocks, etc. are prioritized in positions that are easy for the driver to see, and due to space issues, radio receivers, car air conditioners, etc. are generally placed at lower positions where they are difficult to see. It was hot. On the other hand, when looking at radio receivers, one reason for this is that more emphasis has been placed on operating functions, such as pressing a preset button, than on viewing functions.
When considering how to arrange the above-mentioned devices in the narrow space of the instrument panel, it must be said that it is difficult to arrange the radio receiver in an upper position where it can be easily seen. Therefore, when the preset position shifts or changes, especially when you want to receive a broadcast program from a specific broadcast station, it is necessary to perform the tuning operation while visually checking the frequency of that broadcast station. In order to do so, it is difficult to see without bending down, and it is dangerous for the driver to do so while driving, and even when the vehicle is stopped, it is extremely troublesome to operate.

The main body of the machine is arranged at a lower part where it can be easily operated, and will be described in detail below based on the drawings showing an embodiment thereof.

A radio receiver body 4 is disposed at the bottom of the panel 1, and a digital clock is displayed at the top. Section 5 is positioned. This clock display section 5 is connected to the radio receiver main body 4 by a predetermined wiring 6 provided in the panel 1 so as to also serve as a reception frequency display. here,
Consider the visibility of driver A and passenger B in the rear seat. As shown in FIG. 1, if the driving visibility angle of driver A is θ, the angle from the lower limit of visibility to the display section 5 is α 1 , and the angle to the radio receiver body 4 is α 2 , α 1 is smaller than α2 , and the driver A can view the display section 5 without averting his/her line of sight from the driving viewing angle θ. Further, the passenger B can visually recognize the display section 5 within the viewing angle β between the top 7 of the driver's seat 3 and the ceiling 8. In addition, in Figures 1 and 2,

In FIG. 3, 13 is a digital display for displaying the time and AM/FM receiving frequency; 15 is a clock section, 16 is a radio receiving circuit section, SW1 is a power switch for the radio receiving circuit 16, 17 is a frequency counter section, and 18 is a display circuit section of the display 13. The clock section 15 has a reference frequency oscillation source 19, a frequency divider 20, and a counter 21, and the counter 21 outputs a time signal to the display circuit 18. The radio reception circuit section 16 includes AM and FM front ends 22 and 23, a circuit 24 from intermediate frequency amplification to low frequency amplification, a speaker 25, and a band switching switch SW 2 , and is a superheterodyne receiver. It consists of Further, the frequency counter section 17 is connected to the AM/FM front end 22,

A circuit 26 that takes out the pulse through SW 2-2 and pulses it;
a counting gate 27; a control circuit 28 operated by the reference frequency oscillation source 19;
7 and a counter 29 that counts the frequency. The outputs of the counter 21 and the frequency counter 29 of the clock section 15 are input to the display circuit 18, and a display drive circuit 32 is operated via switching circuits 30 and 31, where the switching The circuits 30 and 31 operate by a flip-flop circuit 33 and a control circuit 34 so that under normal conditions, the circuit 30 is ON to conduct the output, and the circuit 31 is OFF to disconnect the output. That is, when the radio receiving circuit section 16 is not operated, the control circuit 34 outputs a reset signal and turns on the switching circuit 30 via the circuit 33, and the display 13 displays the time, but the tuning When you touch the knob 35 or the preset pushbutton 36 or other operating part of the radio receiving circuit section 16, the control circuit 34 operates and outputs a set signal, turns off the switching circuit 30, turns on the switching circuit 31, and turns on the display. 13, the reception frequency is displayed.
At this time, the switching circuit 31 further
The display 13 is driven to display according to the switching state between AM and FM by the band switching switch SW 2-3 . Here, the display state of the display 13 is switched as appropriate depending on the time display and the display of the AM and FM frequency states.
