Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to manufacture a headrest, the front side and the rear side of the covering body of which is different in color and which has a hole to see through, by a method wherein the covering body made of blow-molded PVC is divided into two side pieces and, after sandwiching padding therebetween, joined again in order to solvent-weld. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a part 4, which is projected by bending in outwardly convex, is formed along the periphery of a covering body on the parting face C of a mold. Secondly, a front and a rear halved covers 5 and 6 are produced by cutting the covering body vertically at the position inside the parting face C along the imaginary line XX' shown in the attached figure. 付加させることにより孔明き形状ななすもの、表裏色違
いの二色をなすものなど複雑なヘッドレストを容易に製
造できる方法に関するものである。

(従来の技術) 従来、ヘッドレストの製造においてはPvOを吹込成形
したカバー材の一部からポリウレタン原液を注入して発
泡させる方法がとられて来た。第5図に示すように(イ
)図のようなpvoを吹込成形したカバー体3の底部に
(0)図に示すような切り込み10を設け(ハ)図に示
すようにヘッドレストを座席上に支持するため二本のス
テー2をカバー体3の底部から突出させるとき、カバー
体内部に挿設した枠芯9の左右の脚部11を形成させ一
ポリウレタン原液を注入し発泡させて仕上げて来た。従
って、発泡不良になると内部だけでなく表皮材も含めて
不良となる不利な点があった。また、色違いの表皮材を
製造する場合、型割り面において色を変えることは色が
混り合うため出来ない上、さらに、透視可能の孔明形ヘ
ッドレストの製造は無理であった。

る。その基本構成はヘッドレストのカバー体の吹込成形
工程において、その型割り面に当接する周辺面に沿わせ
て表皮を外側に凸曲状に突出させてなる突起部を形成さ
せた上縦または横に突起部を切断して半截カバーをあら
かじめ作り置きする。若い表裏色違いのカバー体を作る
ときはそれぞれ色違いの半截カッく−を準備すればよい
。つぎに、別途に枠芯から突出させ形成したステーを挿
設したプラスチック成形発泡体を詰惣として半截カバー
の内部に収容し反対側の半截カバーをかさねて接合部を
溶接装置にかけて結合する。カバー体を孔明き形状とし
たものもこの方法により容易に接合し製造することがで
きる。   、(作用) この発明の作用は、複雑な形状仕様を有するヘッドレス
トを吹込成形する場合、そのカバー体を切断し半截カバ
ーとして作り置きしておき、必要な内容物をサンドイッ
チにして半截カバーを接合部において溶接仕上げする製
造方法であるため、表裏色違いの半截カバーを作り置き
して接合できるので従来のように蛮割れ面において色む
らを生ずる恐れなく色違いものを美しく仕上げできるO
また、ステーを挿設したプラスチックの成形発泡体を別
途に作り置きして半截カバーと組合わせるので発泡不良
により全体が不良となる心配もなく、さらに、透視可能
に中央に孔を明けた形状のものでも容易に製造すること
が可能となった。
