点を指適すれば次の通りである。 In conventional veneer lace, the cutting part consists of a cutter and a fixed bar, and in some cases the fixed bar is replaced with a roller bar, but in any case, the power is exclusively transmitted to the cutting part via the spindle that holds the raw wood. The problems with such conventional veneer lace are as follows.

This is a point where it becomes This is due to the high cutting resistance and the fact that the power is supplied to it through the inside of the log over a long distance from the center of both ends of the log to the cutting part.
Material yield is significantly reduced. The second problem is the occurrence of troubles due to blade clogging, which often occurs with logs that are cracked or rotten, reducing the operating rate of the equipment and the material yield.

Ta. However, the raw wood situation has changed dramatically, and we are now forced to accept the inclusion of considerably low-quality raw wood. In an era when logs could be easily sorted into suitable and unsuitable materials, veneer lace gave the impression of being a nearly complete device, and even today, even if some unsuitable materials are mixed in, it remains an economical waste. Due to quick judgment, unsuitable materials are diverted to other uses such as lumber, so it seems that there are not many problems with veneer lace.

Thirdly, there are other problems that will be clarified as each effect of the present invention is described, and will be pointed out through the description of the present invention.

Depending on the type of veneer lace, the material yield changes significantly, which determines which logs are suitable and which logs are unsuitable, which greatly affects the flow of subsequent processes and the quality of the product.

目的とするもので、その詳細は次の通りである。 The present invention was developed based on this recognition, and it solves the conventional problems and makes it possible to smoothly cut hard logs that were difficult to cut with conventional veneer laces, logs that are soft in the center, and logs that have cracks. The purpose of this project is to predict the future need for the use of miscellaneous trees and provide veneer lace that can be adapted to that need. The details are as follows.

する形をとる。 The basis of the veneer lace according to the present invention is a structure in which the power for cutting the log is actively supplied from the outer periphery of the log, and moreover, it is supplied from the cutting edge of the cutter to the outer periphery of the log just before cutting. The medium of power supply is
It is a roll with a large number of protrusions on its outer periphery, also known as a drive roll, and has a somewhat larger diameter than the conventional roller bar, and its mounting position is as follows:
It is somewhat better than the cutting edge of a knife, and the drive roll is driven by an electric motor or the like to actively supply power to the raw wood.

ある。 Incidentally, the protrusions of the drive roll do not need to be continuous in the axial direction, and in fact, the ability of a drive roll with protrusions on the outer periphery to drive logs is higher than expected, and as a result, the outer periphery is The protrusions could be thinned out considerably in the axial direction, which would have been a disadvantage over conventional roller bars. The discovery that the radial pressing force of the driving roll against the raw wood can be significantly reduced served as a major motivation for the development of the present invention, and served as the basis for completing the veneer lace according to the present invention.

する駆動ロールである。 The effect of supplying power to the outer periphery of the log just before cutting is that the path for power transmission through the log is extremely short, and the external force applied to parts of the log other than the cutting part is significantly reduced. Since the part and the power supply part are on almost the same circumference of the log, there is little difference in the material between the two parts and between them.
Further, a large moment of force is not generated in the power supply unit as in the conventional case, and therefore, the disabling of driving the log and the destruction of the log can be greatly improved. For example, experiments have shown that even when a crack 8 that runs through the entire length of the log 1 is intentionally formed, as illustrated in Figure 1, it is possible to cut the log as smoothly as when there are no cracks. did it. In FIG. 1, 2 is a cutter, and 3 is a drive roll having a large number of protrusions 4 on its outer periphery.

The flow through the outlet of the formed veneer veneer is significantly smoothed, and therefore there is almost no possibility that small pieces will become clogged. For example, in the case illustrated in Fig. There was a very high possibility that the blade 1a would peel off and become clogged, but with the veneer lace according to the present invention, power is reliably supplied to the small piece 1a, and there is almost no possibility of the blade becoming jammed. The range of applicable logs that can be smoothly made into veneers by veneer lace is expanded at once, and it is possible to improve the material yield, the effective use of resources, and the operating rate of the equipment.

In addition, by driving the drive roll, the veneer veneer immediately after cutting is stretched somewhat in the direction of discharge, and the veneer veneer is stretched at a regulated rate, resulting in very good curling. A veneer veneer is obtained. This effect was discovered during the course of the experiment, and the experimental results clarified that there was a significant difference between when the drive roll was driven and when it was driven, but in any case, The ability to obtain a veneer veneer with less curl in veneer lace is very advantageous for streamlining the plywood manufacturing process.

The mechanism of the lace itself can also be simplified.

It tends to be difficult to obtain the same effect as a roller bar, and this role is played by a large number of protrusions on the outer periphery of the drive roll.

A cut is formed from the outside of the log 1 at a position immediately before cutting by the protrusion 4, and the log 1 is in a softened state waiting for the cutter 2 to enter. Moreover, since power is supplied to the drive roll 3, the tip cracks tend to grow in the direction of the cut marks made by the projections 4 of the drive roll 3. Therefore, a veneer veneer with a good cutting surface can be obtained due to the tendency of the tip cracks to be reduced and the tip cracks to be directed outward from the trajectory of the cutting tool 2.

When tilted in the direction of rotation, the cutter 2 enters in a more flexible state, and the cutting surface of the veneer veneer 7 has fewer burrs and the like, resulting in a better cutting surface. .

The effect of cutting raw wood, which is said to be suitable wood, and turning it into veneer veneer is tremendous, and the economic effect is extremely significant.

Place the rotation axis of the drive roll 3 at a position slightly higher than the cutting edge of the blade 1, at a position where the lead 6 is taken from the line 5 connecting the rotation axis of the log 1 and the cutting edge of the cutter 2, and In addition to forming a passage for the veneer veneer 7 immediately after cutting between them, as illustrated in FIG. Furthermore, since the log rotation mechanism limits the transmission torque or power capacity to a certain level or less, even if the power supplied from the log rotation mechanism is transmitted to the logs via the spindle and chuck, the transmission torque or power capacity will be limited. Since it is limited, there is little risk of destroying the log. Of course, by providing a feeding mechanism that faithfully relates to the rotation of the raw wood, even after the driving roll has started, the

In the example shown in FIG. 4, the protrusions 4 are thinned out by forming a groove-like space 31. In this case, the portion including the protrusions 4 becomes disc-shaped and can be replaced by the shaft 29. The drive roll and protrusion can be easily processed and assembled. In the figure, 18 is a bearing, and 19 is a chain wheel.

For example, as illustrated in FIG. 6, a log rotation mechanism 15 configured to transmit the driving force of the electric motor 17 to the outer circumferential surface of the log 1 via a rotary roll 16 or the like to rotate the log may be used. .

Because it is significantly different from conventional veneer lace,
The preferred location for attaching the member that serves to prevent warping of the log is also significantly different from conventional veneer lace.

In the case of a log rotation mechanism configured to supply raw logs, the contact portion between the log contacting member such as a rotating roll and the outer circumferential surface of the log can be a slippable portion. In addition, if the log rotation mechanism is a log rotation mechanism that includes an overrunning device, it will work effectively only when the circumferential speed of the log by the drive roll is higher than the idle rotation circumferential speed of the log by the log rotation mechanism. The diverted power is used only for idling the log, and cutting of the log is performed using the power supplied from the drive roll. On the other hand, in the case where the log rotation mechanism includes an automatic cut-off mechanism of the power source that automatically cuts off the drive of the log rotation mechanism when the load exceeds a certain level or when the drive roll starts driving the logs. It is possible and effective to use a torque limiter, an overrunning device, etc. in combination.

ある。 In addition, regardless of the log rotation mechanism having any of the above configurations, the power source capacity does not necessarily need to be limited to the power source capacity of the drive roll or less.
Depending on the quality of the log, even if the power capacity supplied from the log rotation mechanism is greater than the power capacity supplied from the drive roll, there is no problem as long as the power capacity is less than the size that cannot be cut by itself. It would be even more effective to use a log rotation mechanism that also has an adjustment mechanism that can arbitrarily set the size of the power capacity.

The purpose and effect are completely different, and the reason is that
This purpose is to clarify that the original effect can only be produced by a combination of a drive roll having protrusions on the outer periphery and a drive mechanism thereof.

By appropriately setting the circumferential speed of logs by the driving rolls, synchronization is facilitated and power is utilized effectively. For example, as illustrated in Fig. A driving roll 3 having a diameter of 4 is provided to form a passage for the veneer veneer 7 immediately after cutting between the blade 2 and the driving roll 3, and as illustrated in FIG. The drive mechanism 12 of the drive roll 3 supplies the
The transmission torque further includes an electric mechanism or mechanical mechanism 11 that limits the power capacity to a constant value, and the idling circumferential speed or drive circumferential speed of the log 1 is set to be lower than the circumferential speed of the log by the drive roll 3, which is normal. The structure is equipped with a log rotation mechanism 9 such as a spindle drive mechanism that is designed to maintain a large rotation angle, and the control equipment for controlling the log rotation mechanism in this manner is, for example, a control device that is abundantly available as a known technology. Using an electrical tuning mechanism or other electrical control mechanism using a DC motor or a transmission, it is possible to easily create a mechanical tuning mechanism or other mechanical control mechanism that changes speed in inverse proportion to the distance between the log and the turret. It can be used.

る。 In practice, it is extremely difficult to achieve strict synchronization between the drive mechanism of the drive roll and the log rotation mechanism, which have different drive forms and load forms, at the start of cutting the log or during the cutting process. According to the structure, the idling circumferential speed or driving circumferential speed of the log can be maintained higher than the circumferential speed of the log by the drive roll, so that after the drive roll starts driving the log, the log rotation mechanism is Although it has the ability to increase the circumferential speed to a high circumferential speed, the circumferential speed of the log during cutting basically follows the circumferential speed of the drive roll.
Therefore, even without providing a special precision tuning mechanism, it is possible to easily synchronize the drive mechanism of the drive roll and the log rotation mechanism, and the power supply from the log rotation mechanism is used to drive the logs by the drive roll. If the power supply is set to continue even after the start of cutting, most of the power supplied from the log rotation mechanism during cutting will be used to assist log cutting and feed power, excluding losses due to slips. This is effective.

It would be even more effective if the log rotation mechanism also had an adjustment mechanism that could arbitrarily set the size of the power capacity, and as illustrated in Fig. 6, it would be even more effective to supply power from the outer circumference of the log. In the case of a log rotation mechanism, it is extremely easy to keep the circumferential speed of the log constant regardless of changes in the outer diameter of the log, and therefore the idling circumferential speed or driving circumferential speed of the log is lower than the circumferential speed of the log due to the drive roll. However, in any case, this structure is not suitable for the log rotation mechanism including the overrunning device, and the circumference between the drive roll and the log rotation mechanism is not appropriate. The speed difference does not need to be too large.

回避することができるので効果的である。 At the beginning of cutting raw wood, it is difficult to accurately match the idling circumferential speed of the raw wood and the circumferential speed of the drive roll, and even if the log rotation mechanism is equipped with a torque limiter, etc., the log or other Since it is not possible to eliminate the inertial energy of the members all at once, the idling speed of the log may be increased faster than the set value, and conflicts may occur between the log and the drive mechanism of the drive roll due to the difference in circumferential speed. However, according to the above structure, an overrunning device is installed in the drive mechanism of the drive roll. By providing this, the speed of the drive roll can be easily increased, thereby preventing a fight phenomenon due to a difference in circumferential speed caused by inertial energy of the raw wood, etc., and is effective because the above-mentioned inconvenience can be avoided.

For example, the drive roll has a structure consisting of a shaft and an outer circumference including the protrusion, and the overrunning device is attached at a position as close as possible to the protrusion of the drive roll. It is preferable to interpose an overrunning device between the overrunning device and the overrunning device because the inertia after the overrunning device is minimized and the fighting phenomenon caused by the inertia after the overrunning device can be reduced.

For example, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the blade 2 and the drive roll are equipped with a drive roll 3 having a large number of protrusions 4 on the outer periphery. 伴う効果は、いささかも損なわれることはない。 According to the above structure, as with the veneer lace of the second embodiment of the first invention, as a result, the drive mechanism of the drive roll and the log rotation mechanism can be easily connected without special provision of a precise synchronization mechanism. If synchronization can be easily achieved and the power supply from the log rotation mechanism is set to continue even after the drive roll starts driving the log, the power supply from the log rotation mechanism during cutting will be , most of it will be used to assist in cutting the raw wood and for feeding power, which is effective, and similar to the veneer lace of the first embodiment in the second invention, it is caused by the inertial energy of the raw wood, etc. It is effective in preventing fights caused by differences in circumferential speed, and if necessary, the difference in circumferential speed between the drive roll and the log rotation mechanism can be consciously increased to increase the power supply by the drive roll. It is also possible to actively utilize the inertial energy of the raw wood for cutting in the early stages of cutting, where there is a tendency to lack the inertial energy of the raw wood. This is effective because smooth cutting can be performed. Of course, similar to the second embodiment of the first invention and the veneer lace of the first embodiment of the second invention, the basics of the veneer lace of the first embodiment of the first invention are as follows. The effects associated with the structural configuration are not diminished in the slightest.
