Measures will be needed. In methods using these photoreceptors, handling of the photoreceptor is difficult.

In addition, in the recording method called ESP, since the recording head and the recording medium are in contact with each other, there is a drawback that foreign matter such as toner may interfere with recording during printing.

Since the liquid ejecting head 5 ejects the droplets 7 while moving at a constant scanning speed, the droplets are ejected and attached to the recording medium at the position where the image information signal is turned on (Figure (b)). The liquid forming this droplet need not be colored. It is preferable that this liquid completely volatilizes during development, since this will cause fewer problems during development and other processes. As the liquid, volatile liquids such as benzine and ethyl alcohol are preferable. When the droplet 7 evaporates, almost no charge remains in the area to which the droplet was attached (image area), and the charge (g) remains in the background area, resulting in the formation of a latent image ( (C) Figure). When the recording medium 1 on which the latent image has been formed is developed with (g) charged toner 8 by the reversal development method, the charged toner 8 adheres only to the image area from which the electric charge has been removed, forming a developed image (Fig. ). Note that if the charger 4 charges the toner (→ polarity), the toner will also be charged (→
Polar. This toner image 11 is transferred by the transfer charger 9 onto a transfer paper 10 fed between the recording medium 1 and the transfer charger 9 (FIG. (e)). The transfer paper 10 on which the toner image 11 has been transferred is fixed by a fixing device 12 to obtain a hard copy.

。Although it has been confirmed through experiments conducted by the present inventor that the charge is removed when the odor droplet 7 volatilizes as shown in FIG. 1(c), the mechanism thereof is not clear. This is probably due to the fact that when the liquid adheres to the recording medium, its surface resistance temporarily decreases and the electric charge is diffused, and furthermore, when the liquid evaporates, the electric charge diffused in the liquid is also dissipated at the same time. A type of droplet that is collected from a gutter can be used. The liquid used is not ink but, as mentioned above, a normal liquid, especially one with high volatility, which has a low viscosity and does not cause problems such as nozzle clogging. Furthermore, since the ink is not sprayed onto the recording paper to make it adhere to the recording paper, there are no restrictions on the quality of the paper.
