したものなどがある。これらの鞄材用基布は防水性の付
与、レザー調外観付与等のため上記のごとく合成樹脂に
よる加工を行うが、被覆した樹脂被膜に細孔あるいは間
隙がわずかでもあると、防水性が損なわれるおそれがあ
り、さらに又、合成繊維として一般に用いられているポ
リアミド繊維及びポリエステル繊維と被ri樹脂との接
着性が必ずしも良(なく、使用時の繰り返し屈曲、摩擦
等により両者間が剥離して製品の防水効果が時間の経過
とともに低下することがあり、それらを防ぐ目的で多量
の樹脂が被覆されている。そのためこれらの鞄材用基布
を用いた製品は、重く風合も硬(、しかも通気性が殆ど
認められず、製品であるスポーツバッグ等に汗で汚れた
下着類、タオル等を入れておくと、悪臭を発生したり、
黴が発生する等の問題があり、防臭、防菌性の改善が要

生加工剤単独処理の比較例1−(B)は、防水性が低い
のは当然として、抗菌性の耐久性が著しく低く、本発明
の撥水加工剤併用処理が抗菌性向上に極めて効果的であ
ることが判る。又比較例1− (C)及び(D)から明
らかなどと<、治水加工剤と衛生加工剤との併用におい
ても、衛生加工剤付着量が大きと防水性が低くなる傾向

工剤により耐水圧5001以上の防水性が与えられ、又
撥水加工剤と衛生加工剤とを併用することにより、安全
性が高く、耐久性のすぐれた防菌性が付与され、しかも
