In the reading device, a plurality of reading sections are arranged on the surface of the reading head facing the paper, and are arranged at an angle with respect to a direction perpendicular to the one direction, and the relative position of the reading sections with respect to the document surface is determined. A detecting means and a means for sequentially operating the reading section based on the detecting means when the reading section approaches a position for reading an image on the document surface are provided. As a result, it is possible to read an image on the document surface while the reading head moves on the document surface without stopping, and it is possible to provide a reading device that can increase the reading speed and reduce power consumption.

[Means and effects for solving the problem] In order to achieve this object, in the reading apparatus of the present invention, the reading head is arranged so that the plural reading parts have a plurality of reading positions at the same time in the direction of movement of the reading head. A storage device arranged above and storing data read by the reading head is divided into the plurality of reading positions, and data read at the plurality of reading positions is stored in each of the divided predetermined storage devices. They are input sequentially. Thereby, a plurality of reading sections can simultaneously read a plurality of reading positions in the moving direction of the reading head.

[Example] Hereinafter, an example embodying the present invention is shown in Figs. 1 to 4.
This will be explained according to the diagram. In FIG. 1, a driver shaft 1 is supported at both ends by a frame (not shown) of a reading device.
1 is disposed parallel to a support drum 13 that controls the feeding of the original 12, and a DC motor 14 is connected to one end of the support drum 13 for driving purposes, and a spiral cam groove 1 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the support drum 13.
5 is engraved. A holder 16 that moves a reading head 19 (described later) relative to the document surface 12 in one direction is attached to the support drum 1 at the lower front side of the driver shaft 11.
It is movably supported by a guide shaft 17 disposed in parallel with 3, and a locking piece 18 formed on the rear surface is fitted and supported in the spiral cam groove 15. When the driver shaft 11 is rotated by the DC motor 14, the holder 16 is connected to the spiral cam groove 15 and the locking piece 1.
8 reciprocates in the left-right direction along the guide shaft 17.

The reading head 19 is driven at a constant rotational speed based on a drive control signal output from the reading head 19, and the reading head 19 is reciprocated in the left-right direction at a constant speed. Therefore, read head 1
One always moves at the same speed. A rotary plate 22 fixed to the end of the driver shaft 11 is configured to rotate together with the driver shaft 11, and a plurality of slits 23 are concentrically formed on the periphery at predetermined equal intervals. It is set up.

A light emitting element 24 is disposed on one side of the rotary plate 22 so as to face the slit 23, and is operated to emit light by a drive signal from the microcomputer 20. On the other hand, a light receiving element 25 is disposed on the other side of the rotary plate 22 to face the light emitting element 24, and detects passage of the slit 23 passing in front of the light receiving element 25 by receiving light from the light emitting element 24. However, the detection signal is output to the microcomputer 20.

Each of the slits 23 is a slit for detecting the timing at which each of the reading sections R1 to R8 passes through a corresponding reading point in each column, and the interval between the slits 23 is determined by the rotation speed of the slit and the head. It is determined based on the relationship with the moving speed of No. 19. That is, the interval between the slits 23 in this embodiment is such that when the slits 23 rotate and pass between the pixel elements 25 and 24, four of the reading units R1 to R8 of the head 19 always read their corresponding reading points. It is set to pass.

In the manner described above, the reading head 19 reads one horizontal row of images on the document surface. After that, when the support drum 13 feeds the document 12 one stage, the head 19 moves to the driver shaft 11.
The running direction is changed by the spiral cam groove 15, and the running direction is changed to the left. Even when the head 19 moves to the left, each reading section (R1 to R8) sequentially performs a reading operation each time it reaches each reading position based on the detection signal, which is the same as the reading operation when moving to the right. The same is true. However, in the seventh and eighth reading sections R7 and R8, the eighth reading section R8 reads the data before the seventh reading section R7, and the microcomputer 20 stores the read data in the storage device 26d. Since the data are transmitted in that order, the data arrangement is opposite to the data arrangement read during the rightward movement. Also, that is the fifth point. Regarding the sixth reading section R5, R6, and the third. Regarding the fourth reading sections R3 and R4, the first. Second reading section R1, R2
The same applies to However, if the microcomputer 20 stores a signal informing the change in the storage device [26] every time the read line changes, the microcomputer 20 can output data that has been input to the storage device 26 from the storage device 26 without any problem. .

As described above, in this embodiment, the plurality of reading units (R1 to R8) of the reading head 19 simultaneously operate at four reading positions (al, bl, C1) in the moving direction of the reading head.
etc.), and the storage device 26 for storing data read by the reading head is divided into four parts. Then, at the four reading positions, the read data is sequentially input into the divided predetermined storage devices 26a, 26b, 26c, and 26d, respectively. Thereby, the reading head 19 can read at four locations, increasing the reading speed.

It should be noted that the plurality of reading units having a plurality of reading positions at the same time in the moving direction of the reading head do not need to be arranged in a straight line at an angle as shown in FIG. A trilinear inclined arrangement as shown in FIG. 5 may also be used.

[Effects] As described above, in the reading device of the present invention, the plurality of reading sections are arranged on the reading head so as to simultaneously have a plurality of reading positions in the movement direction of the reading head, and the storage device for storing the data is divided into the number of the plurality of reading positions;
The data read at the plurality of reading positions are sequentially input to the divided predetermined storage devices. As a result, a high-performance reading device with increased reading speed can be provided.
