この発明は、自動車の車体鋼板等の薄い鋼板の

んだ内側の鋼板1の端部に外側の鋼板2を重ね、
スポツト溶接等によつて接合する。そして、内外
の鋼板1,2の主として外面は塗装によつて防錆
を計る。その場合、直接塗装すると、第2図に示
すように、塗膜3を吹付けるが、外側の鋼板2の
端部外側の隅部4に塗膜3がつき難く、この部分
の塗膜3が薄くなつて、この個所に早い時期に錆
が発生する不都合がある。これをさけるには、第
3図に示すように、外側の鋼板2と内側の鋼板1
の間の窪みに、塩化ビニール系のシーラ材5を塗
付してつめ、表面を略平坦にし、その上に塗膜3
を形成させればよい。しかし、シーラ材5を塗る
には、流れ易く、均一に塗るのがむつかしくて、
作業に熟練を要し、面倒で大巾にコスト高にな

するようにしたので、外側端部隅部に塗膜がつき
難いことがあつても内側にメツキ被覆があるので
錆の早期発生を防止できる。そして、メツキ被覆
は、外側の鋼板端部に部分的に施こせばよく、安
価にできる。又、メツキ被覆層は極めて薄いの
で、盛り上り等外観上、製作上の問題が発生する
