Conventionally, this heater duct was placed in front of the front seat occupant's legs, extending in the vehicle width direction, and hot air was blown out to the feet of the vehicle from a plurality of blow-off holes opened in the heater duct to heat the feet. One example is a heater duct in which an air guide plate is provided near the outlet at the tip of the heater duct to guide warm air from the outlet outward (for example, Utility Model Application No. 55-31728). Alternatively, a switching valve is provided in the heater duct, and this switching valve is operated by a sensor that detects the temperature difference of hot air, and the amount of air flow between the upstream outlet and the downstream outlet of the switching valve is controlled. A system that automatically switches between the two has been proposed (for example, Utility Model Application No. 168407/1983).
However, the former method has the disadvantage that the hot air from each outlet is dispersed from beginning to end, so you cannot feel the warmth for a while, especially when heating starts, and the latter method does not immediately warm up the air. However, since a sensor is used to operate the switching valve, the structure is complex and also expensive.

Therefore, the present invention uses a simple structure to rotate a damper installed in the duct according to the pressure of hot air, and automatically adjusts the amount of air blown out from the air outlet. The amount of air from the upstream and downstream outlets is adjusted over time to provide a comfortable feeling of heating.

In front of the legs of the front passenger of the automobile, the heater blower 1 and the heater unit 2 are communicated with each other by a duct 3, and a heater duct 4 having one end fitted on each side of the heater unit 2 and having a rectangular cylindrical cross section is provided. is arranged so as to extend in the vehicle width direction, and an upwardly sloped part 5 is formed in a part of the upstream side thereof, and a relatively large blowing hole 6a is provided in this sloped part 5 so as to concentrate the air at the feet of the occupant. A plurality of blow-off holes 6b are formed on the downstream side so as to uniformly blow air to the entire leg portion of the occupant. The base of a damper 7 having a pressure receiving part 7a formed by bending a part of its tip is rotatably supported in the slope part 5 of the heater duct 4 (see FIGS. 2 and 3). When the damper 7 rotates clockwise in the figure, the air blowing to the downstream side of the heater duct 4 is blocked and hot air is blown exclusively from the upstream side blow-off hole 6a, and when the damper 7 returns to its original position, the blow-off is stopped. A portion of the hole 6a is left and is closed, and warm air is also sent to the downstream side.

According to the present invention configured in this way, since the amount of hot air sent is large when the room is cold when heating is started, the pressure receiving part 7a of the damper 7 rotates the damper 7 by the wind pressure, and the heater duct 4 is cut off in the middle, stopping the air blowing from there to the downstream side, and the large diameter blowing hole 6a on the upstream side is fully opened.
A large amount of hot air is blown out from here in a concentrated manner towards the feet, which quickly warms up the area. Also, when the heating is stable, the air volume is small, so the damper 7 returns to its original position due to its own weight and blows air downstream as well. At the same time, the blow-off holes 6a are also closed leaving a part of them, and the remaining holes are approximately the same size as the blow-off holes 6b on the downstream side, so the hot air is uniformly distributed from each blow-off hole 6a, 6b. Since the air is blown out at a high volume, it gives a feeling of natural warmth.

In addition, as another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 4, the lower surface of the sloped portion 5 of the heater duct 4 is formed vertically, the blowing hole 6a' is opened in this surface, and a plate-shaped damper is provided on the outside thereof. 7' is provided rotatably and is configured to be biased in the closing direction by a spring 8. When the air volume is large at the start of heating, the damper 7' is moved against the elasticity of the spring 8 due to the wind pressure. ' is fully opened to blow out most of the warm air from this blow-off hole 6a', and when the air volume is small, the damper 7' is closed by the spring 8 and the other blow-off hole 6b is blown out.
It is also possible to uniformly blow out hot air from.

As described above, the present invention provides a simple damper with a pressure receiving part formed in the heater duct of an automobile, and when the hot air pressure at the start of heating is large, the damper is automatically rotated by the wind pressure acting on this pressure receiving part. By moving the damper, the air blowing downstream is blocked and a large amount of warm air is blown out exclusively from the large upstream outlet, so the occupants quickly warm up, and when the heating is stable, this damper The system automatically closes and hot air is blown out evenly from each outlet, providing a natural heating sensation.
