First, an overview of the nuclear reactor fuel handling machine mentioned above will be described with reference to Figure 1. In the figure, 10 is a reactor vessel housing a reactor core 12 together with sodium 11 which is a primary coolant, 13 is an upper plug of the reactor vessel, and 14
1 is a guide tube for the fuel inlet/outlet passage, and 15 is an upper door valve. The fuel handling machine 20 that runs above the reactor vessel 10 takes in and out the fuel constituting the reactor core. In other words, the fuel handling machine 20 is the traveling trolley 2.
1. It is equipped with a fuel storage cylinder 22 mounted on a truck, a lower door valve 23, a movable block 24, a gripper drive device 25, a gripper 26 suspended from the drive device, etc. To put in and take out fuel, open the door valve with door valves 15 and 23 connected.
The gripper 26 is raised and lowered to and from the furnace to carry in new fuel and take out spent fuel. For example, after the spent fuel is lifted from the inside of the furnace into the storage container 22, the door valves 15 and 23 are closed, the two are separated, and then the truck 21 is moved to transfer it to the fuel storage facility.

By the way, when the spent fuel that has been immersed in sodium 11 until now is pulled out of the reactor vessel 10, the sodium adhering to the fuel will drip. 23 may become unable to open or close. For this purpose, the upper surface of the valve body 27 is generally equipped with a saucer 28 for receiving sodium dripping from the spent fuel. When the dripped sodium tray 28 is completely filled with sodium, it is collected from the valve body 27 and transported to a cleaning facility, where it is cleaned. After cleaning, it is used again by attaching it to the door valve 23. At this time, the tray 28 is collected by remote control of the gripper 26. Thus, the empty saucer 28 after cleaning can be directly grasped as it is with the grippers 26, but it is difficult or impossible to directly grasp the saucer 28 filled with solidified sodium with the grippers 26 because the sodium gets in the way. Therefore, especially when collecting the tray 28 from the door valve, use an adapter for handling the tray, grip the adapter with the gripper 26, and remove the tray 2.
8 is generally adopted.

However, in the conventional configuration of this type of adapter for handling a saucer, it is possible to hang the adapter gripped by the gripper onto the saucer on the door valve and grasp the saucer, but once the adapters are engaged, the adapter can be moved to the saucer by remote control of the gripper. Therefore, the current situation is that the adapter is moved to a cleaning facility with the adapter attached, and after cleaning, maintenance personnel manually remove the adapter from the tray. However, this method requires one adapter for each saucer, so if you need to replace the saucers frequently or if you have a large number of saucers to replace, you should prepare one adapter in advance according to the number of saucers in use. You must have an adapter ready. In addition, since the adapter and saucer are separated manually, the cleaning process is not just about washing away the sodium from the saucer, but also ensuring that the radiation level is below the safety standard value to prevent radiation damage to the human body. Cleaning is extremely troublesome as thorough cleaning is required.

In this regard, if the adapter and the saucer can be attached and detached by remote control of the gripper without direct manual work, it will not only be possible to collect many saucers continuously using one adapter. Also, the sodium washing process can be conveniently performed because there is no problem with radiation control.

In FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the adapter 30 for handling a saucer includes a cylindrical adapter body 32 having a first gripping portion 31 formed at the top that engages with the opening/closing claw 29 of the gripper 26, and a cylindrical adapter body 32 equipped with An opening/closing claw 33 for grasping the saucer, an actuator 34 of the opening/closing claw 33, and a sleeve 35 fitted to the outer periphery of the adapter body 32 so as to be slidable in the vertical direction.
and a second grip part 36 that engages with the gripper 26 formed on the top of the sleeve 35 so as to be located above and in line with the first grip part 31 formed on the adapter body, and the sleeve 35 is moved upwardly. The adapter body 32 and the sleeve 3 are pressed upwardly.
5 and a compression coil spring 37 inserted between them. In addition, a plurality of opening/closing claws 33 are arranged around the actuator 34 and each pin 3
An actuator 3 is rotatably supported by the adapter body 32 at 8, and is disposed at the center of the gripper body 32 so as to be movable in the vertical direction.
When pushed downward against the return spring 39, the opening/closing claw 33 is pushed open outward as shown in the figure, and when returned upward, the claw 33 is closed. The relative position between the actuator 34 and the first gripping part 31 is such that the claw 29 of the gripper 26 is engaged with the first gripping part 31 as shown in the figure, and the tip of the gripper 26 is in the position where the tip of the gripper 26 is attached to the actuator 34. It is determined that the claw 33 is pushed open by pushing down. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4, at the sleeve gripping position where the gripper 26 engages with the second gripping portion 36 of the sleeve 35, the gripper 26 is separated from the actuator 34, and the claw 33 operates to close.

Next, using the adapter 30 configured as described above, the dripping sodium receiving tray 28 is attached to the fuel handling machine 20 shown in FIG.
We will explain step by step the process of removing the door valve from its use position and collecting it in the cleaning equipment. First, the door valve of the fuel handling machine is opened, and the gripper 26 grips the sleeve 35 as shown in FIG. 4 and lifts the entire adapter 30 upward. In this state, the adapter main body 32 and the sleeve 35 are engaged with each other at the engaging step portions and are suspended. Next, the door valve is closed and the gripper 26 is lowered. When the tip of the adapter body 32 reaches the upper surface of the saucer 28, the claws 29 of the gripper 26
Close it and lower it a little further. Therefore, the gripper 26 resists the spring 37 due to its own weight and grips the sleeve 3.
5 and further push down the actuator 34 against the spring 39 to release the opening/closing claw 33 as shown in FIG.
Open it and grab the saucer 28. At the same time, Gritspa 26
The claw 29 is opened and engaged with the first grip portion 31 formed on the adapter body 32. As a result, the gripper 26, adapter 30, and saucer 28 are connected to each other, and then the gripper 26, while gripping the saucer 28,
6, the saucer 28 filled with dripping sodium can be removed from the valve body of the door valve and lifted upward. Thereafter, the fuel handling machine is driven to the saucer cleaning equipment, the door valve is connected, and the door valve is opened to suspend the saucer 28 into the cleaning equipment. Subsequently, the gripper 26 and the adapter body 32 are once disengaged, and the gripper 26 is further raised slightly. Therefore, the actuator 34 returns to close the claw 33 and separate the saucer 28. At the same time, the gripper 26 opens the claw 29 at that position, and the fourth
It is engaged with a second gripping portion 36 formed on the sleeve 35 as shown in the figure. The work of collecting the tray 28 is thus completed, and the adapter 30 is moved to another standby location and the claws 29 of the gripper 26 are closed, thereby separating the gripper 26 and the adapter 30. Further, the adapter 30 stored in the standby area is used again to collect the saucer if necessary. Note that the saucer 28 after sodium cleaning can be directly gripped by remote control of the gripper 26 without using the adapter 30, taken out from the cleaning equipment, and installed on the door valve.

As described above, with the configuration of the present invention, it is possible to attach and detach the adapter and the dripping sodium tray, as well as to attach and detach the adapter and the fuel handling machine, all by remote control of the gripper, and the adapter and the tray can be separated by manual operation. The drawbacks and problems of the conventional method can be solved. Furthermore, since the actuator is operated by skillfully using the gripper's own weight, the adapter can grip and release the tray during normal gripper operation without requiring any special operation of the gripper. In addition, the second gripping portion is formed in a sleeve that is slidably fitted into the adapter body, and the sleeve is pushed down with a gripper when gripping the saucer.
The adapter can be operated without any trouble by using a gripper whose dimensions are regulated in advance for handling nuclear reactor fuel.
