Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material for which the magenta coupler having excellent color reproducibility, high color forming speed and max. color forming density and excellent solubility with a high-boiling solvent is used by using the specific magenta coupler. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the 1H-pyrazolo(1,5-b)(1,2,4)triazole magenta coupler having the group expressed by formula 1 in the 2nd position and/or the 6th position is incorporated into the silver halide color photographic sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a substrate. In formula 1, X denotes an alkylene group, Y denotes either or formula 2, Z denotes an org. residue, n denotes 0 or 1. R denotes a hydrogen atom or org. substituent. The magenta coupler may be used alone or >=2 kinds thereof and may be used in combination within a 1X10<-3>-5X10<-1>mol range for each 1mol of the silver halide.

(Conventional technology Silver halide color photographic materials use a dye-forming coupler (hereinafter abbreviated as coupler) that reacts with a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion and an oxidized product of an aromatic-grade amine developer to form a dye. A combination of yellow couplers, cyan couplers, and magenta couplers is usually used.

What are these results? Even in layer samples, the coupler of the present invention is an excellent coupler that exhibits small dependence on color development time in all of sensitivity, gradation, maximum fR, and power, and exhibits photographic properties with small fluctuations in a short color development time. Example 3 Sample E-I prepared in Example 2 was attached with a BGR three-color separation filter, and exposed and processed as described in Example 1 to obtain four colored images.

Table tA Color i main fastness values are initial density 1. From the magenta density value table after the O fading test (■), the coupler of the present invention has strong color development and solid images, and there is no adverse effect due to residual coupler, acceleration of fading, or occurrence of staining.
This shows that it is an excellent coupler.
