However, among the above-mentioned coating agents, (1) alkali metal salt-based coating agents have limited water resistance and acid resistance because they contain alkali, and cannot be used for electrical resistance purposes. Furthermore, the above-mentioned acidic metal salt-based coating agent (1) has the disadvantage that it has poor acid resistance because it contains acid, and both of them are air permeable. Furthermore, metal alkoxide-based coating agents must contain water necessary for hydrolysis, which shortens their pot life and makes it extremely difficult to use as a coating agent.
I have a problem.

The zirconium tetraalkoxide is rapidly hydrolyzed to liberate the alcohol and produce the corresponding zirconium tetrahydroxide, and the production of the hydroxide causes polycondensation of the hydroxyl substituent. ~60 parts by weight, preferably 3
If the amount is less than 5 parts by weight, the storage stability of the composition itself is good, but the adhesion of the resulting coating film will be weak, and the hardness will not be sufficiently improved. If it exceeds 60 parts by weight, the proportion of the zirconium compound becomes relatively small, and hydrolysis does not proceed in a short period of time, resulting in poor film-forming properties.

The proportion of such (bl) zirconium compound in the composition of the present invention is 3 to 30 parts by weight, preferably 8 to 16 parts by weight, and if it is less than 3 parts by weight, the proportion of (b) zirconium compound is relatively small. On the other hand, if the amount exceeds 30 parts by weight (bl), the storage stability of the resulting composition deteriorates because the proportion of the zirconium compound is too high, and the hydrolysis is too rapid. Film-forming properties are poor (both are unfavorable).

The proportion of such a filler in the composition is 1 to 60 parts by weight, preferably 10 to 50 parts by weight; if it is less than 1 part by weight, the filler is too small and the function of the resulting coating film is reduced;
If the amount exceeds 0 parts by weight, the viscosity of the composition increases, and the proportion of the binder components (al and bl) decreases, resulting in a weaker adhesion of the resulting coating film to the substrate, and a decrease in hardness. When the composition of the present invention is coated on a substrate, the composition absorbs moisture adhering to the substrate or moisture in the atmosphere, instantly or in a short period of time even at low temperatures from room temperature to about 80°C. It undergoes hydrolysis and becomes a sol due to the polycondensation reaction that occurs simultaneously, and as the reaction progresses further, it becomes a gel. In addition, when heated for about 10 to 60 minutes at 100 to 300°C, for example, zirconia silicate (SiZ) having a small amount of OH group

It can be applied as a material, ■It can be hardened by low-temperature heating (so-called low-temperature sintering), and if a hardening agent is used, it can be hardened even at room temperature. ■Since the film itself is activated, it can be used as a raw material. Sintering is possible at around 1,100"C, which is considerably lower than the sintering temperature. [Phase] Non-flammable and does not generate gas even when heated. - Pot life does not contain water, so when kept tightly closed. It has many advantages, such as being stable for more than a year, and its industrial significance is extremely large.
