Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野］ 本発明は、販売商品の商品コードを読取る固定式スキャ
ナーと販売商品の重量を計量する計量器とを一体化した
販売登録システムに関する。
［従来の技術］ 種々雑多の食糧品を販売するスーパーマーケットに採用
されている販売登録システムのなかには、電子キャッシ
ュレジスタに近接して販売商品に付されたバーコード化
された商品コードを光学的に読取るスキャナーを配置し
て、このスキャナーで読取られた商品コードを用いて販
売商品に対する単品登録処理を行なうようにしたものか
ある。このような販売登録システムに用いられるスキャ
ナーのなかには、第３図に示すように、筺体１内部に１
ｌｌ−波長のレーザ光線を発生するレーザ光源と、レー
ザ光源から出力されたレ−ザ光線を読取窓２上に走査さ
せる走査機構と、商品に付された商品コードからの反射
光を受光する受光部と、受光部で受光した光パターンを
商品コードへ復号する復号部とを収納した固定式スキャ
ナー３がある。このような固定式スキャナー３であれば
、キャッシャーが商品を商品コードが付された面を下面
にして読取窓２上を一方向に移動させれば、自動的に商
品コードが読取られるので販売登録業務の作業能率を大
幅に向上できる。
一方、スーパーマーケットにて販売される商品には、例
えば肉製品のように予めパック詰されていなくて、客が
購入する度にその重量を計量して値段を決める商品もあ
る。このような場合一般に第４図に示す計量器４が用い
られる。この計量器４において、筺体５の上面に秤量台
６が設けられ、この秤量台６上に商品が載置されると、
筺体５の前面に設けられた表示部７に重量が表示される
。
なお、図中８はゼロ点調整等を実施するためのキーボー
ドである。また、重量とともに重量に対応する販売金額
も表示される計量器もある。
そして、キャッシャーが固定式スキャヤ−３のみならず
計量器４も操作するようにしているスーパーマーケット
もある。
［発明が解決しようとする問題点］ しかしながら、上記のような固定式スキャナー３および
計量器４を用いた販売登録システムにおいては次のよう
にな問題があった。すなわち、一般のスーパーマーケッ
トにおいては、第５図に示すように、客が購入した各商
品を収納した篭を載置するサッカ一台９に沿って電子キ
ャッシュレジスフ１０や包装紙等を収納する台１１等が
配置され、前述の固定式スキャナー３はサッカ一台９に
設置されている。そして、キャッシャー１２は電子キャ
ッシュレジスタ１０および固定式スキャナー３を操作す
ることになる。また、大規模のスーパーマーケット等に
おいては図示するように複数台の販売登録システムが客
１３が通過する最少間隔を開けて配列されている。そし
て、一台当りの専有床面積は最少限に抑制されている。
したがって、この販売登録システムに前述の計ｋｋＬ　
器４　ｆ：配置するスペースを確保することは非常に困
難である。従来、このような場合は電子キャッシュレジ
スタ１０の上方位置に晴を作り、この棚の上に上記計量
器４を配置することが考えられていた。しかしながら、
電子キャッシュレジスタ１０の上方位置に計量器４を配
置すると、キャッシャー１２にとって、非常に取扱いに
＜＜、キャッシャー゛１２の負ｔｎ増になるのみならず
販売登録業務全体の作業能率が低下する問題があった。
本発明はこのような事情に基づいてなされたものであり
、その目的とするところは、固定式スキャナーを計量器
上に載置することによって、商品コードの読取りと商品
の重量測定とを同一場所で実施でき、キャッシャーの負
担軽減と販売業務の作業能率向上を図ることができる販
売登録システムを提供することにある。
［問題点を解決するための手段］ 本発明の販売登録システムにおいては、販売商品に付さ
れた商品コードを読取る固定式スキャナーを販売商品の
重量を化１定する計量器上に載置し、この計量器上に載
置された固定式スキャナーで商品コードを読取るととも
に、この固定式スキャナー」二に載置された販売商品の
重量をこの固定式スキャナーの下側の計量器で計量する
ようにしたものである。
［作用コ このように溝底された販売登録システムにおいて、商品
コードが付された商品の登録を行なう場合は計量器上に
載置された固定式スキャナーで商品コードを読取る。一
方、肉製品等の重量を測定してから販売金額を決める商
品を販売登録する場合は商品を固定式スキャナー上に載
置することによって、下側の計量器で重量が測定される
。なお、商品コードの性質上、同一商品に対して商品コ
ード読取りと重量測定とが同時に発生することはない。
［実施例］ 以下本発明の一実施例を図面を用いて説明する。
第１図は実施例の販売登録システムを示す斜視図である
。図中２１は客が購入した各商品を収納した篭を載置す
るサッカ一台であり、このサッカ一台２１に隣接する台
２２上に電子キャッシュレジスタ２３が載せられている
。前記サッカ一台２１の上面の中央位置には凹部２４が
形成されており、この凹部２４の底面上に計量器２５が
設置されている。さらに、この計量器２５の上面に固定
式スキャナー２６が載置されている。従って、この固定
式スキャナー２６は商品コードを読取る機能の他に、計
量器２５の秤量台の機能も有していることになる。そし
て、これ等計量器２５および固定式スキャナー２６は一
体化されており、読取窓２７が形成された上側の固定式
スキャナー２６の上面位置がサッカ一台２１上に載置さ
れた篭のｔ’ｌｒさ位置にほぼ一致するように前記凹部
２４の深さが設定されている。また、計量器２５の前面
には測定された重量等を表示する表示部２８が設けられ
ている。
第２図は販売登録システムを構成する電子キャッシュレ
ジスタ２３．計量器２５および固定式スキャナー２６の
概略構成を示すブロック図である。
すなわち、電子キャッシュレジスタ２３において、各種
演算処理を実行するＣＰＵ２９は、パスライン３０を介
して、制御プログラムを記憶するＲＯＭ３１．人力した
商品コードや販売データを記憶するＲＡＭ３２．置数キ
ーや合計キー等の販売登録用キーが配列されたキーボー
ド３３．販売した商品の品名、販売金額９合計金額等を
表示する表示部３４．レシートに品名、販売金額１合計
金額等を印字出力するプリンタ３５等を制御する。
また、前記固定式スキャナー２６から読取った商品コー
ドが入力されるインターフェース３６．計量器２５から
データが入力されるインターフェース３７．各商品の品
名、単価等の商品データを商品コード別に記憶する商品
マスターファイルををする外部のファイル制御部３８と
データ授受を行なうインターフェース３９等がパスライ
ン３０を介して前記ＣＰＵ２９に接続されている。
また、計量器２５においては、上面に秤量台としての固
定式スキャナー２６が載置されたロードセル４０から出
力される歪み信号は増幅器４１で増幅された後、計測部
４２で重量値に変換される。
なお、この計１１１１部４２においては固定式スキャナ
ー２６の上面に商品が載置されていない状態の増幅器４
１からの信号レベルを［０］グラムに校正している。計
測部４２から出力された重量データは演算部４３で例え
ば金額値に変換されてインク−フェース４４を介して電
子キャッシュレジスタ２３のインターフェース３７へ送
出される。また、表示部２８に表示する。重量と金額と
の関係はキーボード４５にて記憶部４６に予め設定され
ている。
なお、計測部４２から重量値が直接インターフェース４
４を介して電子キャッシュレジスタ２３へ送出されるこ
ともある。
このように構成された販売登録システムにおいて、商品
コードが付された商品を登録する場合、キャッシャーが
、前述した通常の登録操作と同様に、販売商品を商品コ
ードが付された面を下側にして持ち、固定式スキャナー
２６の読取窓２７のＬ方位置を一方向に移動させれば、
該当商品の商品コードがこの固定式スキャナー２６で読
取られて、電子キャッシュレジスタ２３にて自動的に登
録される。
一方、肉製品や果物等のように単位重量当りの単価が設
定されている商品の場合は、商品を固定式スキャナー２
６の上面に載せて、キーボード３３．４５で商品の種別
を示す番号をキー人力すると、記憶部４６から該当商品
の単価が送出され、ａ環部４３で重量に対応する金額が
算出され、電子キャッシュレジスタ２３へこの商品の販
売金額として入力される。そして、電子キャッシュレジ
スタ２３ではキーボード３３から入力された商品の番号
と計量器２５から人力された販売金額とに基づいて該当
商品に対する登録処理を実行する。
なお、通常商品コードが入力されるとファイル制御部３
８から単価を含む商品データが読出されるので、商品コ
ードが付された商品の重量を計量することはない。
このように、キャッシャーは商品コードが付された商品
であっても重量を測定することによって販売金額が定ま
る商品であっても、同一位置で販売登録を実施すること
が可能である。したがって、従来システムのように商品
コード読取りと重量計針とを異なった位置で実施する必
要ないので、キャッシャーの負担を軽減できるとともに
販売登録業務の作業能率を向上できる。
また、固定式スキャナー２６を計量器２５上に重ねるこ
とによって、計量器２５の設置スペースを節約でき、販
売登録システム全体を小型化できる。
［発明の効果コ 以上説明したように本発明によれば、固定式スキャナー
を計量器上に載置している。したがって、商品コードの
読取りと商品の重ｔ２ｔ　７ｉ１１１定とを同一場所で
実施でき、キャッシャーの負担軽減と販売業務の作業能
率向上を図ることができる。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 販売商品に付された商品コードを光学的手法で読取る固
    定式スキャナーと、上面に載置された販売商品の重量を
    計量する計量器と、前記固定式スキャナーから入力され
    た商品コード又は前記計量器から入力されたデータに基
    づいて各販売商品に対する販売登録処理を行なう電子キ
    ャッシュレジスタとを備えた販売登録システムにおいて
    、前記固定式スキャナーを前記計量器上に載置し、この
    計量器上に載置された固定式スキャナーで商品コードを
    読取るとともに、この固定式スキャナー上に載置された
    販売商品の重量をこの固定式スキャナーの下側の前記計
    量器で計量することを特徴とする販売登録システム。
