Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an artificial patina producing soln. for efficiently producing stable patina on the surface of copper by mixing water with specified amounts of basic copper carbonate, hydrochloric acid, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride and an aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. CONSTITUTION:A mixed aqueous soln. is prepd. by mixing 1,000cc water with 20-60g basic copper carbonate, 60-90cc HCl, 15-50g (NH4)2SO4, 15-50g NH4Cl, and 50-90cc aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. When the surface of copper is coated with the mixed aqueous soln. by brush coating, spraying or other method, artificial patina having superior adhesive strength can easily be produced without generating poisonous gas.

(Prior art) Conventional methods for artificially producing patina on copper surfaces include aqueous solutions containing ammonium salts, sulfates, copper salts, other salts, acids or bases in appropriate proportions, and basic carbonic acid. Copper-containing resin f: Methods such as coating have been adopted, but these methods generate toxic gas during the treatment process, the patina peels off immediately, and the natural patina after peeling is removed. There were problems such as the fact that it took several years for this to occur.

The above-mentioned artificial patina generation liquid is applied to the steel surface with a brush or spray at room temperature, and the treatment is performed without generating toxic gas. As a result, while the steel surface is being etched, an artificial patina close to natural patina with good adhesion is generated on the surface.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the artificial patina generation liquid of the present invention, the f14 surface is etched by the hydrogen peroxide it contains, so the #74-1! surface must be polished with sandpaper etc. in advance. There is no need for special pre-treatment, and the coating process can be performed at room temperature, and no gas is generated during the process, making the process more efficient and labor-saving. Since it produces a patina, it has the effect of strongly protecting the surface and improving durability.
