Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent creases, concavities and convexities, scratches and the like, by forming several air blow-off holes in the periphery of a retainer roll making in contact with a band-like material. CONSTITUTION:When a band-like material is wound up into a roll-like form, in order to prevent a deviation in wind-up, creases and the like, compressed air or high temperature air is jetted onto a sheet-like material 7 from the inside of a porous retainer roll 10 through an air blow-off port 10a, the roll 10 being made into contact with the material 7 to be wound on a mill roll 1. The pressure of air jetted onto the material 7 differs in dependence upon the characteristic of the band-like material to be wound, and therefore, the adjustment is made by a discharge air pressure setting dial 14, and a discharged air pressure regulating valve 15 or the like. The porous retainer roll 10 winds up the material with a predetermined space being always maintained between itself and the mill roll 1 along with increasing of the wind-up diameter of the mill roll 1, by means of a retainer roll position adjusting device 21 and a retainer roll position setting dial 22.

度等から、弱い押し圧で巻きとることが困難となる。特
に帯状物が広幅化になるに従って、ロール重量が増加し
、弱い押し圧の巻取調整が難しい。
