る。 Recently, industrial robots are often used as automatic welding machines. When automatic welding is performed by a robot, an error may occur between the trajectory based on pre-programmed welding line data and the trajectory of actual operation due to the assembly accuracy of the workpiece itself, the positioning accuracy of the robot, etc. If this error occurs, the welding torch may come into contact with or collide with the object to be welded, damaging the torch support portion of the robot. Safety devices are required to prevent damage. A suitable safety device is one that issues a contact detection signal when the welding torch comes into contact with the object to be welded, and stops the operation of the robot. As this type of safety device, "Safety device for welding machine" disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-40905 is known. This known invention is
``A conductor ring that surrounds the electrode section to which welding power supply voltage is applied, is electrically insulated from the electrode section, and is attached to the tip of the welding torch, and the ring is connected to the welding power source voltage and the object to be welded. a device that applies a voltage different from the voltage; a detection device that detects each change in the ring voltage that occurs when the ring comes into electrical contact with the electrode or the object to be welded; and a detection device that responds to a signal from the detection device. and a device that generates an accident signal to warn that the ring has short-circuited with the electrode and that the ring has come into contact with a workpiece to be welded. but,
As is clear from the above summary, a separate voltage application device must be connected to the conductive ring surrounding the electrode portion, and the detection method is also complicated.

The welding wire 6 is held continuously by the welding wire 6. The wire 6 and the contact tip 5 constitute an electrode section to which the welding power source 3 is applied. A shield nozzle 9 is attached to the tip of the welding torch and covers the periphery of the contact tip 5, and is made of cylindrical metal. This shield nozzle 9 is

高い電圧(約90V)まで使用できる。 By the way, during welding, the welding voltage of the welding power source 3 changes greatly depending on conditions. Therefore, it is necessary for the current relay 11 to operate even at the lowest voltage and not to burn out even at the highest voltage under no load. Because of this need, the current relay 11
It is preferable to use a rated voltage of 5 to 6 V DC.Furthermore, a Zener diode 13 is connected in parallel with the relay 11, and a resistor is connected between the cathode of the Zener diode 13 and the electrode part so that it can withstand even when there is no load. I am trying to connect 14.
By providing this constant voltage means, the relay 11
can be used from low voltage (approximately 8V) during welding to high voltage (approximately 90V) when no load is applied.

The case of MIG welding or carbon dioxide arc welding is shown, but it can also be performed using a non-consumable electrode such as a tungsten electrode and shielding with shielding gas.
A similar detection circuit can be used as a safety device for TIG welding. A voltage of about 9 to 13 V is applied between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece, and the current flowing between the tungsten electrode and the shield nozzle is detected, and safety is ensured by a contact detection signal.

極めて簡単となる効果がある。 As described above, according to this invention, the contact between the conductive cylindrical body surrounding the electrode part and the workpiece is detected by using the welding voltage and by detecting the current flowing only at the time of contact. This has the effect that an independent power source for detection as in the example is not required and the method of detection is extremely simple.
