い、エアクリーナケースの大型化及び電装部品数

はいよいよその自由度が少なくなつて来て、限ら
れたスペースに収納するので、工具自体の出し入
れが容易でないものが多くなつてきた。即ち、自
動二輪車のエンジン後部、シート下部及び後輪前
部で形成される逆三角形状の空間部内にエアクリ
ーナが配置されており、このエアクリーナケース
下部に工具箱、ブローバイガス還元装置が設けら
れ、工具箱は車体前後方向に取付けられている。
この工具箱の後方にはフレームボデイのサブチユ
ーブ、リヤフエンダとがあり、更に前部にはクロ
スパイプがあるため工具箱は長手方向を前後にお
くしかない。ここで、工具箱を工具取り出しの為
に表側、即ち長手方向を開口すると開口部が大き
くなつてしまい工具箱内への浸水や泥の侵入、強
度のダウン、成型時の型のサイズアツプ等につな
がるおそれがあつた。
