磁気ヘツドは、記録媒体との摺動によつて情報
の記録、再生を行なうものであるから、前記摺動
に伴つてその摺動面が摩耗する。前記記録媒体と
して磁気テープを使用する場合は、磁気テープの
往復用を可能とするため、コアの部分(記録再生
を行なう部分)はテープ幅の上半分又は下半分
〔第1図a参照〕に位置させている。この場合、
前記コアのテープ摺動面と残余のテープ摺動面と
が硬度の異なる物質で構成されていると、磁気テ
ープとの長時間にわたる摺動によつてヘツドの摺
動面は平滑性が失われ、磁気ヘツドの前記コアと
磁気テープとの接触状態が悪化して記録再生時に
おける周波数特性が悪くなる。このため、前記残
余のテープ摺動面は前記コアと同一の物質を用い
る事が望ましい。そして、前記残余のテープ摺動
面は情報の記録や再生を行なわないので、前記コ
アと同一の物質から成るケース上に構成すると好
都合である。

摩耗性を高めている。そこでケースもコアと同一
の物質にする事が望ましい。しかし、硬質パーマ
ロイ、センダスト等はコアの如く板状にする場合
には特に問題はないが、絞り加工をしてケースに
する事は困難(プレス加工精度の低下、プレス型
の寿命の短縮、被加工材の亀裂等を生ずる)であ
る。本発明はこのような問題を解決し、磁気ヘツ
ド部品の一例である磁気ヘツド用ケースに設けた
開口部に前記ケース(第1の部材)より硬度の高
い部材(第2の部材)を溶着させて所期の目的を
達成させるものである。以下、図によつて本発明
の説明を行なう。

よつてケース1の内部に押圧して保持される。第
2図aは第1図a,bに示した磁気ヘツド4に用
いたケース1の製造方法に関し、圧入工程(後述
する。)の直前の状態を示したケースの斜視図で
ある。第2図aにおいて、ケース1は絞り加工が
容易な高透磁率材としてパーマロイ、アルパーム
等を用いる。ケース1には摺動板6をはめ込む為
の開口部1bとコアサポート3〔第1図a,bに
図示〕の一部をケース1の外部に露出させるため
の開口部1aがあり、開口部1a,1bは第2図
aの如く連結して1つの孔を形成している。摺動
板6はケース1より硬度の高い材料、例えば硬質
パーマロイ(ケース1が7−8パーマロイ、4−
5パ−マロイの時)はセンダスト(ケース1がア
ルパームのとき)等を用い、ケース1に設けた開
口部1bに圧入する(圧入工程)。次に摺動板6
の圧入されたケース1を1000℃〜1200℃に加熱す
ると互いに圧力を及ぼし合つているケース1の開
口部1bと摺動板6との接触している部分が溶着
する(加熱工程)。前記加熱工程の後に冷却を行
なうと(冷却工程)第2図bに示す如く摺動板6
を溶着させ、開口部1aを有するケース1を得る
事が出来る。そして第1図a,bに示した磁気ヘ
ツド4に用いる事が出来る。尚、第1図a,bに
示したコア2が硬質パーマロイの場合には硬質パ
ーマロイの摺動板を溶着したケースを、コア2が
センダストの場合にはセンダストの摺動板を溶着
したケースをそれぞれ用いる事が望ましい。この
ようにすれば、コア2と摺動板6はテープ5の摺
動に対して均等に摩耗し、磁気ヘツドの出力特性
の劣化を少なくする事が出来るので、長寿命の磁
気ヘツドが得られる。
