DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides metaxylylene diamine with nylon 12
The present invention relates to a nylon 12 composition characterized by containing: In general, many additives are known to improve the heat resistance of polyamides. For example, there are additives that use acids or salts of cobalt, nickel, chromium, copper, etc., or these in combination with other inorganic salts.
However, these additives are undesirable because they inevitably cause coloring of the product. It is also known to use phosphorus compounds such as phosphates and phosphoric esters in combination. However, inorganic phosphates do not mix uniformly with polylaurinlactam, which has low compatibility with inorganic compounds, and are pushed out onto the polymer surface, making it impossible to achieve a sufficient heat resistance effect. Furthermore, terminal amino groups of nylon 12 are blocked by using organic carboxylic acids such as stearic acid and benzoic acid, but when using these organic carboxylates, other heat-resistant agents must be used together. It is not possible to achieve sufficient heat resistance. As a result of various studies on improving the heat resistance of nylon 12 under these circumstances, the present inventors found that
We have arrived at the present invention. That is, the present invention relates to a nylon 12 composition characterized by containing metaxylylene diamine in nylon 12. The meta-xylylene diamine used in the present invention is
When Nylon 12 is blocked with terminal carboxyl groups and this additive is used, it has sufficient heat resistance without using other heat resistant agents, compared to when using conventional organic carboxylic acid additives. The advantage is that it can be effective. Furthermore, metaxylylene diamine has good compatibility even when used in combination with other additives, does not cause coloring, and can further improve the heat resistance effect. The present invention can be achieved by adding meta-xylylene diamine to the polymer before or during polymerization or during molding. The amount of metaxylylene diamine used is preferably 1/10,000 part by weight or more based on 12-aminododecanoic acid or its polymer. Nylon 12 obtained by the present invention can be used in a wide variety of applications, such as various molded products, films, and tubes. Next, examples and comparative examples of the present invention will be shown. Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5 12-aminododecanoic acid (ADA) with a purity of 99.63%
30 g, various terminal capping agents, and predetermined amounts of known additives were placed in a glass polymerization tube, and the inside of the tube was sufficiently purged with nitrogen while stirring. Next, set the nitrogen flow rate to
The mixture was immersed in a silicone oil bath adjusted to 100 ml/min and maintained at 240±1° C., and polymerization was carried out for 3 hours with stirring. The polymer obtained in this way was shredded into chips, and sheets with a wall thickness of 0.8 mm (120 mm x 120 mm) were made by the compression method using a chip amount of 12 g/sheet, a temperature of 230°C, and a preheating time of 2. The samples were prepared under the same conditions for 2 minutes and a heating temperature of 2 minutes. This sheet was divided into 1/8 equal parts, and a few of them were left as samples in a hot air circulation dryer maintained at 100°C to forcefully deteriorate.
r was determined and heat resistance was evaluated. Note that ηr was dissolved in 98±0.05% sulfuric acid solvent.
The sample solution was made to be 1.00w/v% and measured according to JIS K6810. These results are shown in the table below. 【table】
