The present invention relates to a method for producing color-tunable synthetic fibers obtained by utilizing voids in porous synthetic fibers. Conventionally, many processing methods are known in which fibers are dyed with photo- or heat-variable dyes or coated with pigments. However, dyeing methods have limitations in the dyes and objects to be dyed, and at present have not been put into practical use industrially. In addition, the method of applying the dye to the surface of the fiber fabric is not durable due to its abrasion resistance, and it is not possible to obtain the essential color development of the dye, and it is not possible to obtain satisfactory changeability, so it is hardly used in practical use. The current situation is that this has not been done. Furthermore, the method of adding the dye during polymerization or spinning of synthetic fibers is currently not possible due to the lack of heat resistance of the dye. An object of the present invention is to provide a synthetic fiber that changes color in response to outside air conditions such as light or heat, and does not have the above-mentioned drawbacks, without interfering with the performance of the synthetic fiber or with the various properties of the dye. There is a particular thing. In order to achieve the above object, the present inventors focused on synthetic fibers having porous properties, and as a result of intensive studies, they arrived at the present invention. That is, the present invention provides ``the voids of a porous synthetic fiber filled with a dye that reversibly changes color in response to light or heat, and the surface of the fiber of the fiber is coated with a resin. Synthetic fiber.
Regarding. The present invention will be explained in detail below. In the present invention, porous synthetic fibers have a void content of at least 5% or more, preferably 10 to 50%.
The voids are usually in the form of capillaries leading to the fiber surface. If the void content is less than 5%, the effect of the present invention may not be sufficiently exhibited;
% or more, the effect is great, but the physical properties such as the strength of the fiber deteriorate, which is not preferred in practice. The porous structure is more preferably a dense skin-core jacket structure in which the skin layer has a pore diameter of 100 Å or less. Furthermore, it is more effective if the ratio of the skin layer is 20% or less of the total. Such synthetic fibers are produced by mixing eluate during polymerization or spinning, and then making the eluate porous by extracting or dissolving the eluate, for example.
52-107326, 52-103527, 52-103526, 52
-70113, 52-110924, etc. are known. Also, a method of mixing foaming agents when spinning synthetic fibers,
For example, special public works such as Sho 51-36810 and Sho 52-15891 are also known. Furthermore, as porous synthetic fibers obtained by spinning technology, for example,
15901, 48-6650, 53-19045, etc. are also known. The synthetic fibers used in the present invention may be those produced by any of the above methods, as long as they have the porosity described above. The synthetic fibers referred to in the present invention are typified by polyester/polyamide and polyacrylic fibers, but are not limited to these, and any synthetic fibers having porous properties may be used. The void content in the present invention means the content of voids that are open to the surface of the fiber. The method of measurement was to immerse a small amount of fibers in n-heptane and vacuum suction to 5 mmHg to completely infiltrate the n-heptane into the open voids. After that, it is poured into a density gradient tube and measured. On the other hand, the apparent density of fibers containing voids is measured by placing a small amount of fiber in a pycnometer, absorbing it in a high vacuum of about 10 -5 mmHg, and then filling it with mercury. According to this method, 7
Since mercury does not enter voids with a radius of less than μ, it is possible to measure the apparent density. The void content is a value calculated using the following formula. Void content (%) = Density by density gradient tube method - Density by mercury encapsulation method / Density by density gradient tube method The dye of the present invention that reversibly changes color depending on outside air conditions is A dye that undergoes a reversible change in substance. For example, there are photo-tunable dyes represented by azo, stilbene, thioindigo, cyanine, polymethine azobenzene and anthraquinone, and heat-tunable dyes represented by salicylidene aniline derivatives. Various known dyes can be used. can. The method for applying such a dye is not particularly limited, but for example, it may be dissolved in a solvent such as trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethane, benzene, etc., or the dye may be emulsified with a known dispersant and the fiber may be immersed or stamped. The void structure is filled by a known method such as a printing method. Thereafter, a synthetic fiber that reversibly changes color in response to light or heat can be obtained by coating it with a common fiber resin finishing agent. The resin finishing agent used in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it forms a uniform film on the fibers. The resin finishing agent that enhances the effects of the present invention is preferably one that forms a transparent and uniform thin film. Usually, heat treatment is performed after applying the resin, but steaming is preferred as the heat treatment because it facilitates the formation of a uniform thin film. Examples of film finishing agents include commercially available melamine, polyacrylic, silicone, vinyl, and fluorine resin finishing agents. The fiber of the present invention obtained in this way can be
Alternatively, it is easily variable depending on outside air conditions such as heat, and has sufficient washing resistance, so there is no problem in practical use. The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to Examples. Example 1 By solution polymerization in dimethylacetamide,

A portion of the fiber was first dyed with 2% Cathilon Brill Red 4GH (Hodogaya Chemical Co., Ltd.) and 0.5 cc of acetic acid at 98°C for 30 minutes and thoroughly dried. The thus obtained fibers before and after dyeing were immersed in a 1% thioindigo trichlene solution for 20 minutes at room temperature and washed with water. After that, deck silicone was used as a resin processing agent.
Conch S (Dainippon Ink Co., Ltd.) 30g/, SC-8
(Dainippon Ink) 40 g of the solution was pad dried and heat treated with dry heat (160°C, 10 seconds) or steam heat (102°C, 60 seconds) to obtain photoconvertible fibers. As shown in Table 1, the fibers with void contents of 30% and 45% were particularly satisfactory in terms of light conversion properties, strength, and texture. Its durability was very good and it was practical. In particular, the fiber treated with steaming had a very good color and a uniform light changeability. Furthermore, the dyed products had an excellent multicolor effect. However, the fibers with a void content of 0% had very low light conversion properties and lacked practical use.
