is transported to the coiler. At the top of this hot run table 11 are a number of cooling headers 12, 12'.
...12n are arranged at predetermined positions in the longitudinal direction of the line. A plurality of adjacent cooling headers (for example, 12, 12') are grouped together to form a cooling section 10, and therefore, on the top of the hot run table 11, a plurality of sets of cooling sections each consisting of a group of small headers are arranged. 10 is set.
Each header 12 is provided with a large number of nozzles 13 in the width direction of the strip 7, so that cooling water can be sprayed onto the strip 7. A pair of left and right movable plates 14 and 15 as blocking means are disposed on both sides of the hot run table 11 at a position below each of the cooling sections 10 formed by the plurality of cooling headers 12, with the strip passing center line C in between. , are facing each other. Each movable plate 14, 15 is attached to the lower side of the trolley 16, 17, respectively,
They can move synchronously on the rail 20 in the direction toward each other (in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 4) and in the direction away from each other (in the direction of arrow B in FIG. 4). This moving mechanism will be explained next. As shown in FIG. 4, the trolley 16 includes:
Both ends 22 of the looped chain 21 are connected. Further, the other side midway 23 of the chain 21 is connected to the truck 17. chain 2
The toe 22 side of 1 is not connected to the trolley 17. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line of FIG. is inserted into.
Reference numeral 25 in FIG. 5 is a pedestal for supporting the rail 20. In addition, as shown in FIG. 4, FIG. 7, and FIG. 6, which is a sectional view taken along the line of FIG.
From each chain 26 with attachment,
27 are provided facing each other, and a sprocket 28 is pivotally supported on the frame 25 and is disposed between the chains 26 and 27 with attachments. chain 2
1 rotates, the chain toe 22 moves forward or backward, the middle chain 23 moves backward or forward, and the chains 26, 27 with attachments and the sprocket 28 cause the carts 16, 17 to move smoothly towards and away from each other in synchronized movement. Do the following. As shown in FIG. 4, the chain 21 is suspended from sprocket wheels 33 and 34 via a guide wheel 32. The sprocket wheel 33 is connected to a cylinder device 39 via a shaft 35, a sprocket wheel 36, and a chain 37, as shown in FIG. The tip of the piston rod 38 of the cylinder device 39 is connected to the middle of the chain 37, and when the rod 38 is moved in and out, the chain 37 is driven to rotate. This power is transmitted to the carts 16, 17 via the shaft 35, chain 21, etc.
17 to approach or move away. By changing the amount of protrusion and retraction of the piston rod 38, the carriages 16, 17 and the movable plates 14, 15 attached to the carriages 16, 17 can be freely moved. Furthermore, by stopping the piston rod 38, these movable plates 14, 15 can be moored and stopped at arbitrary positions. Movable plate 14,1
As shown in FIG. 4, the lower portion of the roll 5 is inclined in the direction outside the width of the rolling apparatus. Therefore, the nozzle 13 located above the movable plates 14 and 15
The cooling water injected from the strip is cut off by the movable plates 14 and 15 and flows down to the side of the strip 7. In this way, the amount of cooling water injected to the strip 7 can be controlled in the width direction of the strip 7, and the cooling temperature can be controlled in the width direction of the strip 7.

When the movable plates 14 and 15 move in the direction of separation, the tips of the tilting plates 64 and 65 eventually come into contact with the existing header frame 80. Furthermore, movable plates 14, 15
When they move in the direction away from each other, the tilting plates 64 and 65 also rotate as shown by dotted lines in the figure. This makes it possible to move the movable plates 14 and 15 in the direction of separation (toward the outside of the strip width) even for the strip 7 having a large width W. In this way, the amount of cooling water in the strip width direction can be appropriately changed regardless of the strip width, so that the cooling temperature can be accurately controlled.

Based on the temperature distribution in the width direction of the strip 7 detected by the temperature detector 53 and the strip width 54, the controller 52 determines the cooling section in which the cooling water injection range for the strip 7 should be limited in the strip width direction. do. The movable plate 44 is moved back and forth in the width direction of the strip 7 by a cylinder device 39 operated based on a command from the controller 52, and then remains at a predetermined position. For example, if the detected value of the temperature detector 53 indicates that the temperature at both ends of the strip 7 in the width direction is low, the plate 44 with a predetermined number of cooling sections will be connected to the cylinder 39 depending on the temperature.
By the operation of , it is moved to the center side of the strip 7 and stopped there. As a result, the amount of cooling water injected to both ends in the width direction is reduced, and the temperature at both ends in the width direction is increased to the set value. On the other hand, outlet thermometer 5
5, when it is detected that the temperature at both ends has become too high, the output of the outlet thermometer 55 is fed back to the controller 52, and a cooling section is selected to open and move the movable plate according to the temperature difference. , performs feedback control to move the movable plate of that (or those) sections in the separating direction. As a result, the amount of cooling water injected to both ends in the width direction of the strip is increased, and the temperature at both ends is lowered to the set value.

Therefore, overcooling or insufficient cooling of both ends can be prevented, and product quality based on the strip cooling process can be improved. In addition, in the case of newly installed equipment, there is an effect that there is no need to make the roller body length of the hot run table longer than necessary. Furthermore, the present invention can be easily applied to existing hot-transfer cooling equipment.
