Prior Art In recent years, automatic production systems have been adopted in barrel plating as well, as the mass production of plated items increases. The barrels conventionally used in this automated barrel plating line are as shown in FIG. 6 or 7. The barrel shown in Fig. 6 has a cylindrical body 60 with a relatively large diameter at the center, and truncated cones 62 with narrowed diameters at both ends, but due to its structure, it can accommodate objects to be fitted. Since the depth 64 is shallow and it is not possible to produce a large amount of plated items, it is inconvenient for automatic plating lines. Moreover, the one shown in FIG. 7 is made of a polygonal cylinder 70, and the object to be covered with can be taken in and taken out by removing one side 72 of the polygonal column. It requires manpower and is unsuitable for process automation.

Function In this invention, a tapered part whose cross section gradually decreases outward is provided, the outer end of which is an opening, and a guide plate is attached in a spiral shape to the inner surface of the tapered part, so that the object to be plated can be guided through the barrel. To load the material into the barrel, tilt the barrel with the opening facing upward as shown in Figure 4, and rotate the barrel in the same direction as the spiral of the attached guide plate. Since the material is fed into the barrel, the covered material can be thrown into the barrel extremely smoothly. On the other hand, in order to discharge the plated material from the barrel after plating is completed, tilt the barrel with its opening facing down and rotate the barrel in the opposite direction to the spiral direction of the guide plate, as shown in Figure 5. Since the stuck object is scraped out of the barrel by the guide plate, the stuck object can be easily taken out from the barrel.

In addition, one end of the cylindrical body was sealed with a side plate, and a guide plate was attached to the inner surface of the tapered part in a spiral manner from the opening of the tapered part, so that the opening was closed by the guide plate (see Figure 2). When the barrel is horizontal, it can accommodate a larger amount of material than the depth of the barrel. Furthermore, by immersing a barrel containing a plating object in a plating tank and rotating the barrel in the same direction as the spiral of the guide plate, the guide plate will move the plating object that falls toward the opening to the back. Since it is pushed back toward the barrel, not only does the material to be coated not fall out of the barrel, but also the material to be coated is agitated by the guide plate, resulting in good plating. Furthermore, since the guide plate feeds the plating liquid from the plating tank into the barrel at the same time as the barrel rotates, the components of the plating liquid are well balanced and high-quality plating can be obtained.

In FIG. 1, the body 12 of the barrel 10 is a cylindrical body in which a large number of small holes 14 are bored on one side.
A side plate 16 is welded to one end of the body 12 to seal one side of the body 12. A tapered portion 18 whose cross section gradually decreases outward is connected to the other end of the body 12, and an opening 20 is formed at the outer end of the tapered portion. The three guide plates 22 are arranged at positions that divide the opening 20 into thirds, and as shown in FIG. is welded to the inner surface of the Therefore, the guide plate 22 is attached to the inner surface of the tapered portion 18 in a spiral shape. At this time, information board 2
Preferably, 2 has a curved surface that bulges inward of the barrel so that the object to be coated can be smoothly fed or discharged. The inner edge 26 of the guide plate 22 protrudes toward the center of the tapered portion so as to close the opening 20.

A disk 28 is fixed to the center of the side plate 16,
This disk 28 is rotatably supported by a support holder 32 hanging from one end of a barrel suspension rod 30. A ring 34 is attached to the outer periphery of the opening 20, and this ring 34 is rotatably supported by a support holder 36 hanging from the other end of the barrel suspension rod 30. A shaft 38 is pivotally mounted between the left and right support holders 32 and 36, and a worm wheel 40 is attached to the center of the shaft 38. This worm wheel 40 meshes with a spiral gear 42 driven by an appropriate drive means (not shown), so that the shaft 38
At the same time, it is rotated by a spiral gear 42. Two barrel rotation wheels 44 are also attached to the shaft 38 on the left and right, and the barrel 1

It meshes with 6 and 46. Therefore barrel 10
The rotation of the spiral gear 42 is transmitted through the barrel rotation wheel 44, so that it can be rotated to the right or left. Reference numeral 48 denotes a plating placed in the barrel, into which the cathode section 50 is inserted. This cathode section 50 is connected to the disk 2
It is connected to a lead wire 52 that passes through 8.

This barrel suspension rod 30 is suspended from an arm that can be raised and lowered and which is attached to an endless conveyor or chain (not shown), so that the barrel 10 can be attached to a pretreatment tank, a plating tank, or a plating tank installed in an automated barrel plating line. The objects to be plated are barrel-plated by being immersed in a washing tank or the like while going up and down one after another. During this time, the barrel can be loaded or discharged by rotating it in the forward or reverse direction, since the barrel can be easily tilted by locking either end of the barrel when the barrel is raised or lowered. You can put in and take out glazed items.

In this embodiment, the guide plate 22 is curved and bulges inward, so that the plated material can be efficiently fed or discharged with less resistance. Although the barrel is cylindrical in this embodiment, the present invention can also be applied to barrels having a hexagonal or other polygonal shape as shown in Fig. 3. Also, although the number of guide plates 22 shown is three, it is possible to increase the number to four or five.

Effects of the invention As described above, the present invention makes it possible to extremely easily insert and remove materials to be plated into and out of barrels in an automated horizontal barrel plating line without requiring manual labor. It is possible to automate the loading and unloading of covered items. In addition, since the guide plate is attached in a spiral shape to the inner surface of the tapered part of the barrel, it is possible to accommodate a larger amount of objects than the depth of the barrel when the barrel is held horizontally, which can meet the demands of mass production. . Furthermore, while the barrel is rotating, the guide plate serves to stir and rotate the material to be plated, and also feeds the plating liquid from the plating tank into the barrel, so that the balance of the bath composition is improved and good plating is obtained.
