ナトリウムの如き塩素化剤のPHを、中性ないし微
酸性に調整した水溶液中に浸漬し、吸着せしめた
重金属の触媒的分解作用により繊維に塩素化を施
した後水洗し、次いでメタ重亜硫酸ナトリウム、
次亜硫酸ナトリウム、亜硫酸ナトリウム、又はチ
オグリコール酸の如き還元剤と、ソーダ灰、重炭
酸ナトリウム、又はアンモニア水の如きアルカリ
性液の溶液中にて処理し、エツジ部を含む突起部
分を溶解除去し、繊維表面を滑らかにすることを
特徴とする獣毛繊維質物の高級改質法。
