This invention relates to an improvement of a dust cap for speakers. As shown in FIG. 1, the speaker dust cap 1 is attached to the base of the diaphragm 2 of the speaker or the upper end of the coil bobbin 3, and usually has a dome shape. The dust cap 1 is originally intended to prevent airborne dust from entering the magnetic gap 4, but it also has the function of reinforcing the rigidity of the base of the diaphragm 2 to prevent bell vibration, and preventing vibration. It also has the function of vibrating together with the plate 2 and emitting sound waves. Therefore, in addition to preventing the intrusion of dust, the dust cap 1 has a high rigidity to provide a reinforcing function, and the diaphragm 2 also functions as an acoustic radiation surface.
Similarly, it is required to be lightweight, have high rigidity, and have a large internal loss. Conventionally, such dust caps have often been made of paper-formed natural fibers (pulp fibers), but this type of material has a small Young's modulus, so it has not been possible to obtain the necessary rigidity. Therefore, in recent years, dust caps using high elastic fibers such as carbon fibers have appeared. However, since it is extremely difficult to fibrillate the high elastic fibers by beating like pulp fibers, bonding between the fibers cannot be expected at all, and therefore adhesives are usually used as a bonding means. For example, (1) carbon fibers 21 whose surfaces have been previously coated with a thermosetting resin such as phenol are dispersed in water, formed into a dome shape, and heated to harden the phenolic resin. The dust cap thus obtained is
As shown in the figure, the fibers have a structure in which the contacting parts are bonded with adhesive. (2) After papermaking, the dome-shaped carbon fiber layer 31 is impregnated with phenolic resin 32, and then heated to harden the phenolic resin. The dust cap thus obtained was
As shown in the figure, the structure is such that the fibers are bonded by the phenol resin 22 filled between the fibers 21. However, the dust cap shown in FIG. 2 has low rigidity because there are few adhesive parts between the fibers, and it is not possible to prevent variations in the contact state between the fibers, so the quality of the dust cap is not stable. In addition, although the dust cap shown in Figure 3 has strong adhesion between fibers and high rigidity, it also has the disadvantage that it uses a large amount of phenolic resin, resulting in a large weight, which causes an increase in the weight of the vibration system and reduces conversion efficiency. be. Therefore, this invention aims to obtain a dust cap with high rigidity and low density, and is a dust cap composed of carbon fibers, carbon micro hollow bodies, and thermosetting resin, which will be explained in detail below. As shown in FIG. 4, the dust cap of this invention has a structure in which a phenol resin 32 is filled as an adhesive between a mixed layer of carbon fibers 31 and micro hollow bodies 33. The diaphragm with this structure is made by paper-making carbon fibers 31 to obtain a dome-shaped fiber layer, which is then added to a phenolic resin solution 32 (10 parts of a 20% solution by weight) and foamed carbon micro hollow bodies 33 (1 part: sphere diameter). The fibers 31 are filled with the phenolic resin 32 and the carbon micro hollow bodies 33 by immersing them in a solution in which the fibers (20 to 160 μm) are uniformly dispersed. After the solvent in the solution is volatilized, the phenol resin is cured by heating. A comparison of the characteristics of the dust cap obtained above and the dust caps of conventional examples (1) and (2) described above was as shown in the table below.

る。[Table] As is clear from this table, the value of Eh 3 of the dust cap of this invention is different from that of other dust caps.
This improves the rigidity compared to the dust cap of the same weight.
Also, when compared with dust caps of the same rigidity, a lighter dust cap could be obtained. In addition, internal loss is obtained due to energy consumption due to the sliding of the micro hollow body, so unnecessary resonance is suppressed and mutual interference with the sound waves emitted from the diaphragm is prevented, improving the output sound pressure characteristics. be able to. As explained above, this invention is a dust cap characterized by bonding carbon fibers and carbon micro hollow bodies with a thermosetting resin, and it is possible to obtain a dust cap that is highly rigid, lightweight, and has a large internal loss. It is possible. Although this invention has been described with respect to a carbon fiber paper sheet, similar effects can be obtained when a carbon fiber woven or knitted sheet is used.
