第1図は本考案に係る多気筒エンジンの吸気装
置の一例を示す平面図、第2図は第1図に示され
る例をそれぞれ適用されたエンジンの主要部とと
もに示す正面図、第3図は第1図に示される例の
構成部材の一部を示す側面図、第4図A,B及び
Cは吸気の動的効果を利用した吸気装置の説明に
供される概念図、第5図は第4図A,B及びCに
示される吸気装置が夫々適用されたエンジンの出
力トルク特性をあらわす特性図である。
図中、10はサージタンク、10Aはサージタ
ンクハウジング本体、11及び12は吸気拡大室
、14は隔壁、16及び17は分岐吸気通路群、
25は連通管、30は開閉弁、50はサージタン
ク10のハウジング端部、63は弁開閉機構であ
る。

Claims (1)
ら成る2つの気筒群のうちの一方に属する各気筒

1の分岐吸気通路群の他端が接続される複数の開
口部を有する第1の吸気拡大室及び上記第2の分
岐吸気通路群の他端が接続される複数の開口部を
有する第2の吸気拡大室が隔壁を挾んで並設され
たものとなされるサージタンクと、上記第1の吸
気拡大室と第2の吸気拡大室とを連通させる連通
管と、該連通管の内部に設けられて上記第1の吸
気拡大室と第2の吸気拡大室との連通状態を選択
的に遮断する開閉弁とを備え、上記サージタンク
が、外壁の一部に上記連通管が一体的に結合され
るとともに該連通管に上記開閉弁が組込まれて成
るハウジング端部と、上記外壁の一部及び上記隔
壁の一部が切り欠かれて上記ハウジング端部の装
着が形成されたハウジング本体とを有して形成さ
れたことを特徴とする多気筒エンジンの吸気装置
