ル、１１……補助シリンダ、１２……補助ピスト
ン、２２，２３……連通孔、２４……空気噴出口
。

Claims (1)
- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 １ シリンダと、クランク機構により該シリンダ
内で摺動するピストンと、上記シリンダの上部に
取付けられたシリンダヘツドと、上記シリンダ、
ピストン、シリンダヘツドにより形成される燃焼
室に新気を導入するための吸気ポートと、上記燃
焼室内へ向けて燃料を噴射するようにシリンダヘ
ツド内に設けた噴射ノズルと、燃焼ガスを排気す
るための排気ポートと、これらポートを開閉する
ためのバルブと、該バルブを駆動するための駆動
装置とを備えた直接噴射式内燃機関において、上
記シリンダヘツド内に設けた補助シリンダと、該
補助シリンダ内で摺動する補助ピストンと、上記
噴射ノズルの先端周囲に該噴射ノズルを囲むよう
に形成されかつ燃焼室側へ開口させた空気噴出口
と、該空気噴出口と補助シリンダの作動室との間
を、上記補助ピストンの上死点付近及び下死点付
近でのみ連通しかつ補助ピストンのストロークの
途中では遮断する通路手段と、機関の行程に同期
して補助ピストンを往復させる駆動手段とを備え
た直接噴射式内燃機関。 ２ 通路手段は、一端が補助シリンダ作動室に開
口し他端がピストン側面に開口したピストン内部
に形成した第１連通孔と、一端が空気噴出口に連
通し他端が補助シリンダの側面に開口したシリン
ダヘツド内部に形成した第２連通孔とから成り、
前記第２連通孔は補助ピストンの上死点付近で直
接補助シリンダ作動室に連通し、下死点付近で前
記第１連通孔を介して補助シリンダ作動室に連動
するようにした実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記
載の内燃機関。 ３ 噴射ノズルの先端周囲に形成した空気噴出口
が燃焼室に開口する開口断面積は上記第１連通孔
の断面積より小さい実用新案登録請求の範囲第２
項記載の内燃機関。
