本発明は自動車用排気管における遮熱板の取付

このように排気管が高熱化した場合、枯草等が排
気管に接触して火災を発生したり、車体フロアの
異常高温化が問題となり、そこで、従来ではかか
る枯草対策およびフロアの異常高温化対策として
排気管の下側部又は上側部を遮熱板で覆うように
している。この従来の遮熱板取付構造の一例を第
1,2図によつて説明すると、この例では枯草対
策として排気管1の上側部に遮熱板2を配設した
場合を示し、該遮熱板2は帯状板金からなるブラ
ケツト3により排気管1下側を覆つて取付けてあ
る。このブラケツト3は排気管1の略上半周を抱
持する抱持部4と、この抱持部4の両側より左右
方向に延設したフランジ部5とで構成している。
他方、遮熱板2の両側部には部分的に前記フラン
ジ部5が当接する取付座6を延設し、また下面中
央部に排気管1下側面に当接する支持部7を膨出
成形してある。そして、この遮熱板2の取付けに
際しては遮熱板2を排気管1の下側部にあてがう
と共に、ブラケツト3の抱持部4を排気管1の上
側部にあてがい、そして、ブラケツト3のフラン
ジ部5と遮熱板2の取付座6とを位置合せしてこ
れら両者をボルト・ナツト8により緊締して組付

重量の軽減化が要求されているのにも拘らず車体

ら排気管1外周の接線方向に延設されたアーム部
13とを備え、このアーム部13の端部と遮熱板
11との結合位置を、アーム部13の外側面より
内方で排気管1の下側中央寄りに設定してある。
本実施例では遮熱板11を枯草対策として排気管
1の下側を覆つて配設した場合であるが、車体フ
ロアの加熱防止対策として該遮熱板11を排気管
1の上側を覆つて配置する場合には、前述の結合
位置は排気管1の上側中央寄りとなる。ここで、
前述の結合位置の設定にあたつて、ブラケツト1
0を帯状板金をもつて、排気管1の略上半周を抱
持する抱持部12と、該抱持部12の両側よりそ
れぞれ斜め下方に延設したアーム部13,13
と、これらアーム部13,13の端部をそれぞれ
内方に向けて曲折成形したフランジ部14,14
とを一体成形する一方、遮熱板11の底部中央の
支持部15の両側近傍に前記フランジ部14,1
4が当接する取付座16,16を成形すると共に
これら取付座16,16から排気管1の側部中央
に向つて延長部16aを形成してあり、これらフ
ランジ部14,14と取付座16,16とを位置
合せしてボルト・ナツト17結合することによつ
て、ブラケツト10と遮熱板11のスプリングバ
ツク作用により該遮熱板11を遊動することなく
排気管1下側に固定してある。なお、ブラケツト
10は場合によつてその抱持部12を排気管1に
溶接,かしめ等の手段により予め固着しておいて
