Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the yield rate and to decrease the cost, by forming a ferrite core having a shape, wherein a gap is formed at a part corresponding to the central leg of an E type core, and cutting the parts corresponding to the gap or in the vicinity thereof after burning. CONSTITUTION:A ferrite core is formed in a shape, where a gap 102 is formed at the central part corresponding to a central leg. After burning, the core 101 is cut at approximately central parts 13 corresponding to the gap 102. Thus two E type cores 104 with gaps are obtained. Abutting surfaces 105 of the outer legs of the E type core 104 can be polished as required. Therefore special technology for polishing only the central leg of the E type core with the gap is not required. The size of the gap can be readily adjusted by the polishing amount of the abutting surfaces of the outer legs. Thus the improvement in yield rate and cost reduction can be achieved.
