アー等で、パルプ廃水・各種汚泥の脱水を行う際
に脱水効率を高めるために平滑ローラで押圧して
いた。しかしながら真空脱水機の回転ドラム、あ
るいはメツシユベルトコンベアー上に汚泥のケー
キ層が厚く付着すると、単に平滑ローラで押圧し
ても充分な脱水効率をあげることができなかつ
た。

効率を高めることを可能にしたものである。

面層はゴム等の可撓性を有するものが好ましい。
例えばロール全体をゴム等で調製してもよいが、
金属ロールの表面に歯形状をしたゴムシートを巻
き付けたものが経済的に好ましい。

好ましく、また溝の深さBは約4mm程度が好適で
ある。前記押圧用ロールの歯形間のピツチAおよ
び溝の深さBはケーキ層の種類、ケーキ層の厚み
等によつて変化させればよい。

を選択すればよい。第1ローラで押圧されたケー
キ層はローラ押圧によつての歯形がつけられ、第
1脱水が行われる。次いで第1ローラよりのこぎ
り歯のピツチが狭く且つその溝の深さが浅い第2
ローラでさらに押圧することによつてさらにケー
キ層の脱水が行われる。また第2ローラよりのこ
ぎり歯のピツチが狭く且つ溝の浅い第3ローラに
より押圧することによりケーキ層を押圧してさら
にケーキ層の脱水を行うことができる。こののこ
ぎり歯のローラの本数はケーキ層の種類およびケ
ーキ層の層さによつて適当なものを選択すればよ
い。また本発明に係る脱水用押圧ロール装置はメ
ツシユベルトコンベアによる脱水装置にも適用す
ることができる。
