Vehicle headlamp cleaner devices generally operate a wiper motor and a washer motor by turning on an operating switch, which moves the wiper blade back and forth and sprays cleaning fluid to remove dirt from the front of the headlamp. When the illuminance is restored, there is no need to operate the wiper motor and the washer motor, so they are operated a predetermined number of times (predetermined time) stored in each memory, and then automatically stopped.
A timer method using an electronic circuit is known as a means of storing the number of operations in conventional vehicle headlamp cleaner devices, but this method requires a separate timer unit, complicating the layout and wiring, and requiring a large installation space. Not only that, but the product cost is also high, and in terms of functionality, the set number of operations may change due to changes in power supply voltage or changes in wiper load, or the wiper blade may shift from the reverse position and stop. There were drawbacks such as:

Further, as another conventional example of the operation number storage means, as shown in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 55-3233, there is a pin provided upright on the worm gear of the wiper motor, and a cam provided on the worm gear and coaxial with the worm gear. , there is a known Geneva mechanism consisting of a Geneva wheel that is driven by the pin and stops when it touches the arcuate surface of the cam, which can eliminate the drawbacks of the timer system using the electronic circuit described above. It is. This device is equipped with a rotary switch that is coaxial with the Geneva wheel and rotates at the same time as the Geneva wheel, and by turning on the automatic return manual switch, first the wiper motor is activated, and after a slight delay, the screen washer is activated, and the manual switch is turned on. Even if the switch is released, the rotary switch can be operated a predetermined number of times and then automatically stopped.

However, this method has the disadvantage that it requires a relatively long time to turn on the manual switch for automatic return when operating the wiper motor. In other words, even if the worm gear is rotated to engage the pin in the next groove of the Geneva wheel to drive the Geneva wheel, and the rotary switch is rotated to release the manual switch, the wiper motor cannot be operated by the rotary switch. This manual switch must be kept turned on until the worm gear is rotated approximately one revolution, which is disadvantageous in that the switch operation becomes troublesome.

The present invention was devised in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional technology, and by simply turning on the automatic return operation switch momentarily, the wiper motor, that is, the wiper blade, is operated accurately a predetermined number of times in memory, and then automatically returns to a predetermined stop position. It is an object of the present invention to provide a vehicle headlamp cleaner device having a simple and inexpensive configuration, in which a washer motor is operated and automatically stopped in conjunction with a wiper motor.

In FIGS. 1 to 4, 1 is a wiper motor, and the wiper motor 1 has a worm 2 formed on its rotating shaft 1a, a worm wheel 3 that meshes with the worm 2, and a worm wheel 3 that is integrally provided on the worm wheel 3. Output shaft 5 on the upper end surface meshing with pinion 4
The final gear 6 transmits the rotation of the rotating shaft 1a to the output shaft 5. The final gear 6 is integrally provided with an intermittent gear 7 having a drive pawl 7a. In the illustrated embodiment, there are two drive claws 7a, but there may be one or three or more drive claws. Further, the intermittent gear 7 may mesh with the final gear 6. Reference numeral 8 denotes a driven gear having a plurality of grooves 8a that engage with each of the driving pawls 7a, and is similarly supported on a fixed shaft 9 that supports the worm wheel 3 and pinion 4. Therefore, the driven gear 8 is driven via the intermittent gear 7 which is interlocked with the wiper motor 1. Although not shown, the wiper blade that wipes the front surface of the headlamp is attached to a blade shaft 11 that converts the rotary motion of the output shaft 5 into a reciprocating rotary motion via a link mechanism 10, and one rotation of the final gear 6 causes the wiper blade to rotate once. Go back and forth. In this embodiment, the intermittent gear 7 has two driving pawls 7a and the driven gear 8 has ten grooves 8a, so the intermittent gear 7
The driven gear 8 rotates once by five rotations, that is, five reciprocations of the wiper blade. As shown in FIG. 3, on one surface of the driven gear 8, there is a first fixed contact 12a and a movable contact 12b that rotates together with the driven gear 8. An auto-stop switch 12 is provided to stop the operation. Note that the movable contact 12b is grounded. 13 is an automatic return operation switch interposed in the drive circuit of the wiper motor 1;
and wiper motor 1. This automatic return operation switch 13 is connected to a movable piece 13a connected to one end of the wiper motor 1 via a positive characteristic thermistor 15 for motor protection, a grounded normally open contact 13b, and a normally closed relay contact 16c of a relay 16 to be described later. It consists of a connected normally closed contact 13c. This operation switch 13 is a switch that automatically switches to the normally closed contact 13c side when the movable piece 13a is placed on the normally open contact 13b side and released. 16 is a relay, and the relay 16 has one end connected to the first fixed contact 1.
2a and the other end is connected between one end of the wiper motor 1 and the movable piece 13a, and a connection point A between the first fixed contact 12a and one end of the coil 16a.
and a normally closed relay contact 16c provided between the coil 16a and the normally closed contact 13c, and a normally open relay contact 16b provided between the other end of the coil 16a and ground. In other words,
A normally open relay contact 16b of the relay 16 is interposed in the drive circuit of the wiper motor 1, and the normally open relay contact 16b and the operating switch 13 are connected in parallel between one end of the wiper motor 1 and ground. 17
The auto-stop switch 1 is placed on the same surface of the driven gear 8 on which the auto-stop switch 12 is provided.
This short-circuit switch is provided adjacent to the wiper motor 1, and is closed when the auto-stop switch 12 is in an open state to short-circuit both ends of the wiper motor 1 and apply sudden braking. This short circuit switch 17 includes the first fixed contact 12a, a second fixed contact 17a connected between the power source 14 and the other end of the wiper motor 1, and a movable contact 17b that rotates together with the driven gear 8. 18 is a washer motor, one end of which is connected to the power supply 14 and the other end connected to a fixed washer contact 18a attached to the auto-stop switch 12.

Next, the operation of the device of the present invention having the above structure will be explained. Set the automatic return operation switch 13 to the normally open contact 13
By applying power to the b side, a closed circuit is formed including the power supply 14, wiper motor 1, thermistor 15, movable piece 13a, normally open contact 13b, and ground, and the wiper motor 1 operates, and the wiper blade moves back and forth through the transmission mechanism. do. At this time, the coil 16a includes the power source 14, the second fixed contact 17a, and the movable contact 17.
b, the first fixed contact 12a, the coil 16a, the movable piece 13a, the normally open contact 13b, are excited by the grounded closed circuit, the relay 16 is driven, the normally open relay contact 16b is closed, and the normally closed relay is Contact 1
6c is opened. Even if you let go of the operation switch 13 and automatically return the switch 13 to the normally closed contact 13c side, the coil 16a will not be connected to the power source 14 or the second
The fixed contact 17a, the movable contact 17b, the first fixed contact 12a, the coil 16a, the closed normally open relay contact 16b, continue to be energized by the grounded closed circuit, and therefore the normally open relay contact 16b does not close. The operation of the wiper motor 1 is continued by the closed circuit of the power supply 14, the wiper motor 1, the thermistor 15, the closed normally open relay contact 16b, and ground. That is, even if the operating switch 13 is turned on momentarily and then the operating switch 13 is immediately released, the wiper motor 1
continues to operate without interruption. Intermittent gear 7
rotates in the direction of arrow B in FIG. 3 in conjunction with the wiper motor 1, and the drive claw 7a engages with the groove 8a of the driven gear 8 to rotate the driven gear 8 by one pitch in the direction of arrow C, so that the movable contact 17b is separated from the first fixed contact 12a and the second fixed contact 17a, and the shorting switch 17 is opened. At the same time, the movable contact 12b engages with the first fixed contact 12a and the washer contact 18a, and the auto stop switch 12 is activated. Close. Therefore, the power to the coil 16a is cut off, the relay 16 is deactivated, and the relay contacts 16b,
16c opens and closes, respectively. However, the wiper motor 1 is still operated by the closed circuit of the power supply 14, the wiper motor 1, the thermistor 15, the movable piece 13a, the normally closed contact 13c, the normally closed relay contact 16c, the first fixed contact 12a, the movable contact 12b, and the ground. As the process continues, the washer motor 18 is switched to the power supply 1.
4, Washer motor 18, Washer contact 18
a, the movable contact 12b operates in a grounded closed circuit to inject cleaning liquid (not shown). Thereafter, when the intermittent gear 7 driven by the wiper motor 1 makes five rotations, that is, the wiper blade makes five reciprocations and reaches a predetermined stop position, the driven gear 8 rotates once and the first fixed contact 12
a is disengaged from the movable contact 12b and the auto stop switch 12 is opened, and the first fixed contact 12a and the second fixed contact 17a
The movable contact 17b engages with the short circuit switch 17, and the wiper motor 1, the short circuit switch 17, the normally closed relay contact 16c, the normally closed contact 13c, and the movable piece 1
3a, a short circuit is formed between the thermistor 15 and the wiper motor 1, causing the wiper motor 1 to suddenly stop, and the wiper blade may change the set number of operations or shift from the reverse position and stop due to fluctuations in the power supply voltage or load. The device automatically stops at a predetermined stop position after accurately operating the set predetermined number of times without causing any problems. Note that the automatic stop of the washer motor 18 is performed when the first fixed contact 12a is connected to the movable contact 1.
The shape of the movable contact 12b is determined so that the washer contact 18a is released from the movable contact 12b before the washer contact 2b is released, and the movable contact 12b is made to open earlier than the wiper motor 1. Therefore, for example, after the washer motor 18 operates and the cleaning liquid is sprayed, the movable contact 12b is opened. It is possible to operate only one reciprocating wiper blade, and there is no possibility that the cleaning liquid remains attached to the front surface of the headlamp (not shown).

In other words, this vehicle headlamp cleaner device has an automatic return operation switch 13 as shown in FIG.
wiper motor 1 and relay 1 at the same time as
6 is activated, and immediately after that, even if the user releases the operating switch 13 and the switch 13 is automatically returned, the relay 16 remains driven and the wiper motor 1 is operated only as long as the short circuit switch 17 remains closed. The operation is continued, and then the short-circuit switch 17 is opened and the auto-stop switch 12 is closed, so that the wiper motor 1 is operated for the predetermined number of times stored in the memory without interruption, and then automatically stopped at a predetermined stop position. The washer motor 18 is operated a predetermined number of times in conjunction with the operation of the wiper motor 1 after a delay of the time from the momentary turning on of the switch 13 until the auto stop switch 12 is closed, and the washer motor 18 is automatically stopped earlier than the wiper motor 1. It is. Therefore, the operation switch 13 can be operated with one touch, making it easier to operate the switch.

The operation number storage means of the wiper motor 1 includes an intermittent gear 7 driven by the wiper motor 1, a driven gear 8 having a groove 8a that engages with a drive pawl 7a of the intermittent gear 7, and a driven gear 8 provided on one surface of the driven gear 8. Auto stop switch 12 and short circuit switch 1
7, the configuration is simple and inexpensive. Further, the set number of times the wiper motor 1 operates can be set accurately without being affected by fluctuations in the power supply voltage or wiper load, unlike the conventional timer system using an electronic circuit. The set number of times the wiper motor 1 operates can be freely changed by appropriately selecting the number of drive claws 7a and grooves 8a, and the number of times the washer motor 18 is set can be arbitrarily determined by the shape of the movable contact 12b.

The opening and closing of the movable contact 12b, the first fixed contact 12a, and the washer contact 18a, and the opening and closing of the movable contact 17b, the first fixed contact 12a, and the second fixed contact 17a are performed by sliding of the movable contacts 12b and 17b, respectively. Since each contact surface is clean and a good contact condition can be maintained, there is little risk of poor conduction. Incidentally, when continuous operation of the wiper motor 1 is required, it can be done by continuously turning on the operating switch 13, and at this time the washer motor 18 becomes intermittently operated.

As described above, according to the vehicle headlamp cleaner device according to the present invention, the wiper motor operation number storage means includes an intermittent gear interlocked with the wiper motor, a driven gear driven by the intermittent gear,
Since this is achieved by an auto-stop switch and a short-circuit switch provided on the driven gear, the configuration is simple and inexpensive, and by simply turning on the automatic return operation switch momentarily, the wiper motor, that is, the wiper blade, can be operated accurately for a predetermined number of times stored in memory. After activation, it can be automatically stopped at a predetermined stop position, and the washer motor can be activated and automatically stopped in conjunction with the wiper motor, so the operation switch can be operated with one touch, making the switch operation easy.
