Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野コ 本発明は、電子写真方式印刷装置のフラッシュ型定着器
に関する。
［従来の技術］ 従来、この種のフラッシュ型定着器は１組のフラッシュ
ランプを備えており、用紙上に付着したトノーーを該フ
ラッシュランプにより加熱してこれを用紙上に定着させ
ている。
［発明が解決しようとする問題点］ 旧述した従来のフラッシュ型定着器は、ランプが巾故と
なっているので、ランプが切れると装置トラブルや印刷
不良に結び付くという欠点がある。
本発明の目的はランプ切れに伴う装置トラブルや印刷不
良を解消したフラッシュ型定着器を提供覆ることにある
。
し問題点を解決するための手段］ 本発明は用紙上に付着したトナーをフラッシュランプに
より加熱してこれを用紙に定着させる電子写真方式印刷
装置におけるフラッシュ定着器において、複数組のフラ
ッシュランプを備え、フラッシュランプのランプ切れを
各組毎に検知するランプ切れ検出回路と、該ランプ切れ
検出回路からの信号に基づき、各組毎にフラッシュラン
プを切替えてこれを駆動するランプ駆動回路とを有する
ことを特徴とするフラッシュ型定着器である。
［実施例］ 以下、本発明の一実施例を図により説明する。
第１図において、トナーが付着した用紙１の搬送路りの
入口側にテンションプレート２を設け、出口側にフィー
ドローラ８を設ける。
本実施例は搬送路りの中間位置に、用紙１上のトナーを
加熱する２組のフラッシュランプ５，６を前後に配列し
て設け、フラッシュランプ５，６のランプ切れを検知す
るランプ切れ検出回路７をランプボックス３に設け、ざ
らに、ランプ切れ検出回路７からの信号に基づき、各組
のフラッシュランプ５，６を切替えて駆動するランプ駆
動回路５と、ランプ切れ検出回路７の信号に基づきオペ
レータにランプ切れ、交換の表示を行う表示回路９とを
備えている。
実施例において、前段のフラッシュランプ５を使って定
着を行っている場合に、フラッシュランプ５がランプ切
れを起こすと、そのランプ切れはランプ切れ検出回路７
により検出され、その検知信号に基づきランプ駆動回路
４はフラッシュランプ５から後段のフラッシュランプ６
に切替えてこれを駆動しフラッシュ定着を継続させる。
一方、）ンプ切れ検出回路７からの信号は表示回路９に
入力し、ランプ切れが発生したことをオペレータに知ら
せる。オペレータはその表示を見てランプ切れを起した
フラッシュランプ５の交換を行う。
［発明の効果］ 以上説明したように本発明はフラッシュランプを複数組
設け、ランプ切れが発生したときにそのランプを切替え
て駆動して定着を継続して行うようにしたため、ランプ
切れによる装置トラブルや印字不良を防止することがで
きる効果を有するものである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）用紙上に付着したトナーをフラッシュランプによ
    り加熱してこれを用紙に定着させる電子写真方式印刷装
    置におけるフラッシュ定着器において、複数組のフラッ
    シュランプを備え、フラッシュランプのランプ切れを各
    組毎に検知するランプ切れ検出回路と、該ランプ切れ検
    出回路からの信号に基づき、各組毎にフラッシュランプ
    を切替えてこれを駆動するランプ駆動回路とを有するこ
    とを特徴とするフラッシュ型定着器。
