In general, this type of insulated contact wire has a conductor built into an insulating cover that has a pair of leg-shaped parts spaced apart from below, whereas a brush holder that runs to collect current has a brush arranged in the center. , with brush holder side walls formed on both sides of the brush holder, such that the brush is inserted between the pair of legs and comes into sliding contact with the conductor, and the brush holder side walls extend outward from the pair of legs. It is made to run using the leg-shaped parts as a guide. By the way, since the brush must be replaced when it reaches its wear limit, it is necessary to take measures to detect the wear state of the brush, and this does not mean that such measures have not been taken in the past.

Fig. 1 shows a conventional brush holder for insulated trolley wires. Reference numeral 1 denotes a brush with wear limit indication, and on its upper surface a wear limit indication groove 2 is formed as shown in Fig. 1A. The brush with wear limit indication 1 is fixed in the center of the brush holder 3 shown in B as shown in D, and the brush holder 3 has a groove 2 on both sides of the brush with wear limit indication 1.
The brush holder side walls 4, 4 are integrally formed with the brush holder 3. Since the brush 1 with wear limit indication is a live part, the brush holder 3 and the brush holder side walls 4
is made of an insulating material.

Therefore, in this insulated contact wire brush holder, when checking the degree of wear of the brush 1 with wear limit display, remove the brush 1 with wear limit display together with the brush holder 3 from the insulated contact wire and look into the inside to check the wear. The degree of wear on the brush 1 with limit display was being investigated. For this reason, the workability of maintenance and inspection is extremely poor, and when the brush holder 3 is attached to the insulated contact wire after the work has been completed, troubles such as collector derailment are likely to occur due to incomplete installation or installation errors. There were flaws.

The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks and provide a brush holder for an insulated contact wire that can detect the degree of wear of the brush by external monitoring without providing a wear detection means to the brush and without removing it from the insulated contact wire. The gist of the patent is as stated in the claims for utility model registration.

Hereinafter, one embodiment of the insulated contact wire brush holder of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4, with the same parts as those in the conventional art being denoted by the same reference numerals and explanations of the same parts being omitted.
The brush 6 is disposed between the brush holder side walls 4, 4, as shown in FIG. There is. The wear limit line 5 is
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, when the brush 6 is in sliding contact with the conductor of the insulated contact wire 7, the pair of legs 9a, 9a of the insulated cover 9 of the insulated contact wire
It is provided so as to be parallel to the lower edge lines 9b, 9b.

In FIGS. 3 and 4, the brush holder 3 is attached to a current collector support mechanism 8, and the mechanism 8 connects the brush 6 to a pair of leg-like parts 9a and 8 through a spring (not shown).
The brush holder side walls 4, 4 are attached so as to be inserted between the brush holders 9a, pushed upward, and pressed against the conductor 10, and so that the brush holder side walls 4, 4 extend outwardly of the pair of leg portions 9a, 9a. Figure 3 shows brush 6
is in a new, unworn condition, and when looking through the wear limit lines 5, 5 provided on the side walls 4, 4 of the brush holder on both sides as shown by the arrows in Fig. 3A, the legs 9a, 9a of the insulating cover The lower edge lines 9b, 9b are shifted upward in parallel from a line looking through the wear limit lines 5, 5 by an amount H (predetermined amount) of allowable wear of the brush 6. When the brush 6 wears out from the state shown in Fig. 3 and wears down to the allowable wear amount H, it becomes the state shown in Fig. 4, and when the wear limit lines 5, 5 on both sides are viewed as shown by the arrows in Fig. 4, the outlook is as follows. wire and the legs 9 of the insulating cover 9
The lower edge lines 9b, 9a of a, 9a are aligned, and the leg-like portions 9 of the insulating cover 9 are aligned as shown in b.
The lower edge lines 9b, 9b of a, 9a and the wear limit line 5 are substantially in a straight line. When this condition occurs, it indicates that the brush 6 needs to be replaced with a new one. In this way, the wear state of the brush 6 can be detected by looking through the wear limit lines 5, 5 from outside the brush holder 3.

As described above, the insulated contact wire brush holder of the present invention can detect the wear state of the brush with the current collector and brush holder attached, so maintenance and inspection work can be simplified and the number of work steps can be reduced. This is particularly advantageous in high places with poor footing.

Furthermore, since the brush holder can be inspected without removing it from the insulated contact wire, it is possible to prevent problems with the current collector such as derailment due to mounting errors after inspection. Further, according to the brush holder of the present invention, the lower edge line of the pair of leg-shaped parts that sets the opening of the insulating cover of the insulated contact wire is used to determine the relative position of the lower edge line of the leg-shaped part. Since the wear limit line is placed on the outer surface of the side wall of the brush holder to maintain the relationship,
When a wear limit line is attached to a brush as in the past, it is possible to prevent the wear limit line from disappearing, which tends to occur due to wear of the brush itself or contact with an insulated contact wire. Since there is no fear that the wear limit will be damaged, the wear limit display can be made simpler than the conventional wear limit display for brushes, and can be made stable and inexpensive.

Furthermore, the wear limit line is defined by the brush holder that supports the brush so that it is parallel to the lower edge line of the leg-like part of the insulating cover of the insulated contact wire in a state where the brush is in sliding contact with the conductor of the insulated contact wire. If the brush does not come into sliding contact with the conductor of the insulated contact wire and gets caught on the inner surface of the pair of legs that define the opening of the insulated cover, If the brush holder supporting the brush is not properly attached to the insulated contact wire and the wear limit line is not positioned in the normal position, the wear limit line and the pair of legs on the insulating cover are The above-mentioned abnormal condition can be confirmed by detecting that the wear limit line and the lower edge line of the leg are not parallel in relation to the brush holder. It has great practical benefits, such as being useful as a guide to whether or not it has been inserted correctly into the opening of the cover.
