本考案は内燃機関に用いられる合成樹脂製ロツ

(従来の技術)
最近省資源化の要請から、燃費の向上をはかる
べく車の軽量化に努力が注がれている。エンジン
関係でもロツカーカバーを従来の金属で形成した
ものから軽量で且つ安価な合成樹脂に変更したも

(考案が解決すべき課題)
しかし合成樹脂は金属に比べて熱伝導が劣るの
で、ロツカーアームの作動により発生した熱が外
気へ放熱されることなくロツカーカバー内に蓄熱
され、150℃程の高温となり、エンジオイルを熱
劣化させてしまう。またロツカーカバーのフラン
ジに設けたボス部を介してシリンダーブロツクに
ボルト等でロツカーカバーを固定しているが、ボ
ス部間の固定されていない樹脂が前記の熱によつ
て応力を受けて外側に湾曲変形し、その結果フラ
ンジが変形しガスケツトがずれてロツカーカバー
のシールを保つことができないといつた課題があ

ランジ部を下面開放端周縁に形成し、ボス部の間
の箱体の周壁に薄板状の金属フインを、箱体の内

部には図示しないシリンダーブロツクと対称な位
置に環状のガスケツト9の収納溝とを有するフラ
ンジ部6が形成され、該フランジ部6にボルトを
貫通する孔である複数のボス部5が穿設されてい
る。そしてボス部5の間の箱体の2つの側壁部と
2つの端壁部とでなる周壁の複数個所には、垂直
方向に周壁の外壁面10より2乃至5mm外側に突
出し、又周壁の内壁面11より5乃至10mm内側に
突出した状態の1枚板の金属フイン2がフランジ
部6位置から上面閉塞部3周辺に至る状態で配設

以上のように本考案は合成樹脂でなる箱体の内
側と外側に突出させた金属フインを箱体の周壁に
配設したので、ロツカーカバー内の熱を金属フイ
ンにより早く外部に放出してロツカーカバー内の
温度が高くなるのを抑え、熱によるエンジンオイ
ルの劣化を防止できる。又フランジ部のボス部間
に金属フインを配設したので、周壁のシリンダー
ブロツクに固定されていない部分を変形させよう
とする力に対し、金属フインがビードとして働き
合成樹脂の変形を抑え、従つてロツカーカバーの
フランジとシリンダーブロツクの間のシールを良
