Claims (1)
- ポンプハウジングと該ポンプハウジング内の軸
受孔に回転自在に支承された回転軸の先端に有す
るベーンとの間に配設されたシールリングと、こ
のシールリングと対向位置する上記軸受孔の孔縁
に配装された環状の保持部材と、この保持部材を
構成する内筒部と外筒部とで形成された環状凹部
内において該環状凹部内を水密的に封止した状態
で収容配置され、かつ一端が上記シールリングに
固着された伸縮性シール部材と、この伸縮性シー
ル部材の外周に巻装されていて上記シールリング
を上記ベーン側に弾発付勢するコイルスプリング
とを備えたメカニカルシールにおいて、上記保持
部材の内筒部外周面とこの外周面と接触する上記
伸縮性シール部材の内周面のいずれか一方あるい
は双方に耐摩耗性材のコーテング層を形成したこ
とを特徴とするウオータポンプのメカニカルシー
ル。
