When the knee collides with the knee panel, the impact force is received at one end by the front pillar side via the side bracket, and at the other end by the floor side via the inverted L-shaped bracket. By using an L-shaped bracket, the impact force acts as a load toward both ends of the inverted L-shaped bracket, that is, in the tensile direction, thereby minimizing the deformation and movement of the knee panel and its supporting member. The purpose of this invention is to provide a mounting structure that provides a secure mounting structure, and to make the stiffness of each part of the knee panel equal, so that the load received by the knee during a collision is approximately the same everywhere on the knee panel.

This structure has the drawback that when the occupant's knees collide from the direction of arrow P, the dash brace C buckles or a large bending moment is applied to it, prolonging the displacement stroke of the knee panel D. Not only does the distance from the dash panel A to the fixing part of the knee panel D become long, which increases the weight and cost of the mounting components, but also depending on the structure of the cooler unit E located in the lower part of the instrument panel. It also had the disadvantage that the dash brace C could not be placed.

Due to the presence of the member 2, the impact force is received by the entire knee panel 1 without causing local deformation in the knee panel main body 4, and is further transmitted to the vehicle body via the side bracket 13 and the inverted L-shaped bracket 15. will be paid and paid. Since the knee panel 1 is a reinforcing material 2, the load on the knee is approximately the same no matter which part the knee collides with.

The load acts as a tensile load in the direction shown by arrows X and Y, that is, in a direction substantially parallel to the horizontal mounting portion 16 and the vertical mounting portion 20 of the inverted L-shaped bracket 15, and the mounting portion of the knee panel 1 is subjected to a strong tensile load. It has a strong strength.

有している。 The present invention has the above-mentioned structure and function, and when an inertia force in the vehicle traveling direction is applied to an occupant and the occupant's knee collides with the knee panel, the impact force is directly absorbed by one side of the lower edge of the knee panel. It can be transmitted to the vehicle body side, and on the other side of the lower edge, it can be applied as a tensile load to the inverted L-shaped bracket, and it can also be transmitted to the vehicle body side and received, so that the mounting member does not buckle. Since there is no generation of areas where large bending moments are applied, deformation and movement of the knee panel and its supporting members can be minimized, and the mounting structure is relatively simple. It is possible to leave a large space inside the knee panel, which also has the advantage of forming a large space for equipment such as a cooler unit.

荷重ならしめうる。 No matter where the load is applied, the rigidity of the knee panel is equal and large in each part, so that no local deformation occurs, and no matter where on the knee panel the knee hits, it prevents the knee from moving. The submarine phenomenon can be suppressed to an appropriate level, and the submarine phenomenon can be effectively prevented, and the load on the knee can be made to be approximately the same regardless of where on the knee panel the knee panel collides.
