Oxygen-free atmosphere methods for annealing furnaces include a vacuum method and an inert gas or water vapor displacement seal method. In a batch annealing furnace, it is extremely easy to create a vacuum or employ an inert gas or steam displacement sealing method. However, in a continuous annealing apparatus for annealing wires, it is necessary not only to create a vacuum but also to perform displacement sealing with an inert gas or steam, which significantly increases costs.

In FIG. 1, a heating furnace C is installed at an angle, an annealing pipe D is inserted and fixed in the heating furnace C, and a steam inlet E is installed in the middle of the lower part of the annealing pipe D. Ori,
The lower end of the annealing pipe D is immersed in a water tank, and the upper end thereof is open to the atmosphere. The reason why steam is introduced into the annealing pipe D from the steam inlet E is to create a steam atmosphere inside the annealing pipe D. Further, the reason why the lower end of the annealing furnace pipe D is immersed into the water tank is to prevent air from entering from the lower end of the annealing furnace pipe D. That is, in the conventional continuous annealing furnace for wire bodies, the heating furnace C and the annealing pipe D inserted into and fixed to the heating furnace C are installed at an angle, and steam is introduced into the lower part of the annealing pipe D. Since the lower end of the annealed pipe D is immersed in a water tank, the inside of the annealed pipe D is in a steam atmosphere. The filament A enters the annealing pipe D from the upper end of the annealing pipe D via the inlet guide pulley B, is brightly annealed, exits the lower end of the annealing pipe D, and is then cooled in a water tank F. and finally sent out via the exit guide pulley G.

体用連続焼鈍装置の開発が望まれていた。 Now, as is clear from Fig. 1, in the conventional continuous annealing furnace for filaments, a large amount of steam is passed through the steam inlet E in order to prevent air from entering the annealing pipe through which the filaments continuously pass. It is necessary to continuously feed steam, leading to a significant increase in annealing costs. For this reason, it has been desired to develop a continuous annealing apparatus for wire bodies that requires less water vapor consumption.

In a continuous annealing apparatus for wire bodies, the lower end of the annealing pipe D is immersed in a water tank, and the upper end thereof is open to the atmosphere.
A continuous annealing apparatus for a wire body is characterized in that a labyrinth packing 1 is installed at the upper end of the wire, and a labyrinth packing 2 is installed at the lower end.

In the continuous annealing apparatus for wire bodies of the present invention, the steam fed into the annealing pipe D from the steam inlet E enters the atmosphere through the labyrinth packing 1 installed at the upper end of the annealing pipe D, and Although the water vapor is blown out into the water tank F through the labyrinth packing 2 installed at the lower end, the amount of blown water vapor can be significantly reduced due to the labyrinth effect.
