A separation medium is applied to the roll to ensure problem-free winding. Again, talc or sand is often used. However, this 5i medium has the disadvantage that it has a negative effect on the strong bond between the web and the roof when applying the bituminous web by welding methods. This inevitably leads to blistering and ultimately unsealed areas.

It is. The coating film is reported to prevent adhesion of the closely spaced layers of the wound bituminous web to each other, as do the scattered particles. A significant disadvantage of a bituminous web provided with a covering film is that it is difficult to attach the web to the surface to be covered and thereby its adhesion to the substrate may be reduced.

When a web covered with a film is coated by a welding method, the covering film is removed before welding or is melted away by contact with a hot flame. However, this increases the time and installation costs required to install the web.

Therefore, attempts have sometimes been made to use hot adhesive bitumen to attach weldable webs with a film laminated underneath. This thin adhesive bitumen often causes the film to melt not at all or only very incompletely. This film then prevents complete bonding and serves as a release layer.

Although bituminous webs of this type can certainly be bonded with cold- or hot-bonding bitumen, direct bonding between the covering bitumen and the bonding bitumen is not possible without holes in the film on the opposite side of the web. limited to that part.

This mat has a solid volume of about 2z and serves as an air-containing spacer between the bituminous web and the substrate. In the space created in this way,
The relative motion between the bitumen web and the substrate is compensated and gas exchange processes are allowed. An important factor when using this known bitumen web is that the air volume trapped in the mat must be preserved during application of the web.

For example, for coating the molten web it is advantageous to select a nonwoven fabric consisting of a raw material with a melting point equal to or slightly lower than, in particular slightly lower than, the melting point of the nonwoven supporting the bituminous web. A highly advantageous combination of this type is, for example, the use of a supporting fleece made of polyethylene terephthalate and a covering fleece made of polyethylene terephthalate. Particularly advantageous in this case are covering nonwovens which have a relatively low unit area weight and a high hiding power. Advantageously, such covering fleece is calendered before use. This processing can in particular be carried out as part of a strengthening process. This is because calendered fleece material has a less tufted surface than needle-punched fleece.

This is because the fleece does not melt away when it comes into contact with the hot adhesive fleece, but acts as an adhesive between the adhesive bitumen and the polymeric bitumen. The melting point of the covering fleece should therefore lie in a range above and slightly below the melting point of the supporting inlay.

。For coating polymeric bitumen webs to be applied by bituminous bonding methods, needle-punched nonwovens made of materials with approximately the same melting point as the supporting nonwoven are therefore particularly advantageous. A convenient way to meet these requirements is to use the same material for the supporting fleece and the covering fleece of the bituminous web. It is advantageous, for example, to use the same polymeric material, for example polyethylene terephthalate, for both fleeces.

。When applying the bituminous web of the invention by a welding method, the covering fleece constructed according to the invention may be melted in one spot, in which case only the melting point is melted, and then the covering fleece is melted. The remaining surface acts as an additional joint. When applied by the bituminous adhesive method, the covering fleece also acts as an additional joint and thereby improves the mechanical and technical properties of the entire sealing system. In this case, there is the particular advantage that the adhesive bitumen can be easily immersed into the coating bitumen and a problem-free full-area bond between the bitumen web and the substrate is possible.
