It is an object of the present invention to provide a device for centering articles in order to transfer them to a separating device for separation. I will now talk about the necessity of separating the cathode ray tube panel and the mask fitted into its inner surface.

As shown in the figure, pins A for mask fitting are fixed to the inner side wall of the cathode ray tube panel P at four locations, and pins A for mask fitting are fixed to the outer periphery of the steel plate mask M as well. A leaf spring B having a small hole is attached. Then, the pin A is fitted into the small hole B' of the leaf spring, and the panel P and the mask M are fitted and integrated, and a phosphor coating operation is performed. After coating, the panel and mask that are in the above-mentioned fitted state are separated. To remove the mask M from the panel P, bend the leaf spring B on the mask side and push the leaf spring against the pin on the panel side. After removing it from A, it is necessary to move the two relatively in parallel. However, since the gap between the inner surface of the panel and the leaf spring is approximately 5 mm, it is difficult to remove the panel and mask without damaging both.
This is quite difficult and requires highly accurate separation equipment.

It was not possible to process several types of pipes of different sizes at the same time.
That is, in the conventional apparatus, a structural problem was that the panel and mask had to be positioned twice: immediately before and immediately after the separator main body. In other words, since two centering devices were required for positioning, the device became complicated, and moreover, high-speed separation was impossible. Further, when separating the mask, not only is an additional power required to stop the rotation of the mask, but there is also a drawback that the mask is deformed when the mask is fixed. In particular, with the conventional type, in order to separate the mask attached to a multi-tube cathode ray tube, a centering device, a separation device, and a conveyance line corresponding to the tube type are required, and improvements are desired. was.

It is attached via an elevating frame 62 shown at the left end of FIG. 15, and this elevating frame is moved up and down by an air cylinder 63. As shown in FIG. 16, the elevating board 61 has a cross shape when viewed from above, and a pawl and a seat setting mechanism, which will be described later, are mounted on this board. That is, a center post 64 is provided in the center of the board, and on this post there are installed upper and lower sets of a catch setting cam 65 and a catch drive pinion 66, as well as a claw setting cam 67 and a claw drive pinion 6.
8 (see Figure 15). As shown in FIG. 16, each of the setting cams 65 and 67 has four arcuate cam grooves 69 that converge toward the center, into which a guide roller 69' is loosely fitted. has been done. Then, seat moving links 70a, 70b and 7 which are pivotally connected at one end to this roller are provided.
1a and 71b are attached so that they are symmetrical in the top, bottom, left and right in the figure. These seat moving links are all attached with substantially the same configuration, and an example will be explained with reference to FIG. 17. As is clear from the figure, the other end of the link 70b is attached to the seat mounting bracket. 73, and this bracket is attached to the board 6.
Since it is slidably attached so as to straddle the slide rail 72 provided on the top surface of 1,
For example, when the link 70b is moved from side to side in FIG. 17 via the guide roller 69', the seat 74 of the panel mask attached to the bracket 73 will also move as shown by the chain line and solid line in the same figure. Move left and right. The other catch moving links 71a and 71b (links located on the left and right in FIG. 16) have almost the same configuration as shown in FIG. Therefore, when the seat is moved in the longitudinal direction, the seat mounting bracket 73 moves back and forth accordingly, and the seat 74 fixed to the bracket is moved.

Therefore, it is configured to reciprocate on the diameter line of the cam. A pawl mounting bracket 77 is attached to each of the links 75a to 76b, and a pawl 78 is individually fixed to each of the brackets. Therefore, when the cam 67 rotates, the pawl moving link also moves the cam 67.

のである。 In FIG. 1, when a panel P fitted with a mask M is supplied onto a conveyor device C such as a belt conveyor or roller conveyor placed in front of a centering device 2, this panel mask P/
M is guided by a guide rod G provided on the conveyor and fed onto a top chain conveyor 5 attached to a centering device 2. As the top chain conveyor 5 is driven, the panel mask P/M moves at a constant speed to the center of the centering device 2, and when the front end of this panel mask blocks the light from the phototube switch PS shown in FIG. As a result, a signal is generated, and this signal causes the above-mentioned top encircle conveyor to stop, and at the same time, the air cylinder 23 is operated, and as shown in FIG. The moving frames 21a and 21b move toward the center via a link mechanism and grip the panel mask evenly from the short diameter direction. Next, the long-diameter air cylinder 22 located on the left side in FIG. 4 is operated, and the pair of left and right pushers, that is, the sliding frames 20a and 20b having the presser rollers 24 are moved inwardly through the link mechanism in the same manner as described above. Move along. In other words, the sliding frames 20a, 20b and 21a, 21b are freely supported on the guide rails 18, 19, 18', 19' in a vertically and horizontally symmetrical manner with the center post 12 as the center along with the short diameter side and the long diameter side. , and these sliding frames are connected to link plates 15a, 15b and 16 so that the same movement occurs with respect to each other.
Since they are connected by a and 16b, they move centripetally with the operation of the air cylinders 22 and 23 to center the panel mask P/M. In addition, in FIG. 4, the mounting piece 25 of the presser roller 24 provided on the right sliding frame 20b located on the long axis line is attached to the panel mask P/M as shown in FIG. 5 and FIGS. During the approach, that is, until the air cylinder 22 is activated, the panel mask is regulated by the cam follower 28 and lies down, so its advance is not hindered. On the other hand, when the air cylinder 22 is activated, the panel mask Since the restriction by the cam follower is released, the mounting piece 2
5 stands up like a rolypot. Thus, the presser roller 24 attached to the mounting piece 25 is
The panel mask P/M is gripped centripetally in cooperation with the presser roller 24 on the other sliding frame 20a.

When the mask P/M is supplied to the center of the centering device 2 and then centripetally gripped by the presser roller 24 provided on the sliding frame, the stroke of the pistons in the air cylinders 22 and 23 (Extension distance) will also be determined according to the dimensions of the panel mask. That is, if the dimensions of the panel mask are small, the stroke of the air cylinder becomes long, and if the dimensions are large, the stroke becomes short. In response to such changes, the extension distance of the piston in the air cylinder can be determined using magnets (not shown) built into each cylinder and proximity switches KS, KS 1 to KS 3 , etc. attached to the cylinder. The size of the supplied panel mask, ie, the size of the target pipe type, is determined by the detection. The signal detected as described above is sent to a catch drive cylinder 79 and a claw drive cylinder 82 in the mask removing machine 4 (to be described later), and the strokes thereof are adjusted to adjust the catch 74 and claw 78 properly. Set it in position.

When the piston rod M is gripped, the piston rod of the air cylinder 40 rises as described above, and when it reaches the highest point, the air cylinder 53 for traveling is actuated by the detection signal, and the traveling unit 37 is activated. That is, the lifting unit 39 is moved in the lateral direction while being suspended. The traveling unit 39
moves from the position C to the position D in FIG. 10, the suction pad 44a
moves directly above the mask removing machine 4 while holding the panel mask P/M, and then, at this position, the lifting air cylinder 40 is operated again to lower the panel mask onto the mask removing machine 4. .
At this time, the receiving surface of the panel mask in the mask removing machine 4 has receiving seats 74 on all sides, as described later.
and the claws 78 are kept in their proper positions and are on standby, so that the panel mask supplied by the transfer device 3 is accurately fitted onto these seats and claws. That is, the air cylinders 22 and 23 attached to the centering device 2
The catch drive cylinders 81a, 81b and the claw drive air cylinder 82 in the mask removing machine 4 are operated with their strokes controlled by the dimension detection signal (tube type discrimination signal) issued by the proximity switch. do. To explain this point in detail below, in FIG. 16, the drive cylinder 81a is
and 81b are both on the retracting side, the travel distance of the seat drive rack 80 attached to this is the maximum, so the pinion 6 that meshes with the rack
The rotation angle of 6 is also the maximum. Therefore, the catch setting cam 65 provided coaxially with the pinion rotates significantly counterclockwise in FIG. 69' will be located. Each of the guide rollers 69' has a seat moving link 70a.
Since one end of the bracket 71b is attached, as the link moves, each seat on the bracket 73 fixed to the other end of the link is set in its position in a state where it is expanded to the outermost side. The dimensions thus set are the dimensions of the panel indicated by the symbol L in FIG. Symbol S in Figure 4
indicates the minimum dimension, and when the centering device shown in the figure detects this dimension, the detection signal is sent to the cylinder 81 for driving the catch in the mask removing machine 4.
a, 81b, whereby in this case both piston rods of said cylinder extend together, causing said seat setting cam 65 to rotate clockwise in FIG. As a result, the cam groove 69
The tip portions of the seat moving links 70a to 71b that are fitted in the center post 6 are guided by the cam grooves.
It will be located closest to 4. Therefore, the seat 74 attached to the link protrudes forward and stops, so that it waits at a position suitable for the minimum size panel.

That is, when the proximity switches KS, KS 1 to KS 3 , etc. detect the dimension indicated by the symbol I in Fig. 4,
In this case, only the catch drive cylinder 81a of the mask removing machine 4 is activated by the detection signal, and the catch setting cam 65 is rotated clockwise in FIG. 16 to the middle position of the cam groove 69. The seat 74 is moved forward to a position that matches the dimensions.

なる。 By the way, as described above, when the catch seat 74 operates, the pawl 78 also operates in conjunction with it. Its mechanism is almost the same as the operating mechanism of the catch, except that the length of the cam groove formed in the claw setting cam 67 is slightly longer than that of the catch setting cam 65. The only two points are that there is only one air cylinder 82 connected to the pawl drive rack 79 for rotating the cam 67 via the pinion 68. As shown in FIG. 20, a spacing adjustment bolt 83 is installed between the bracket 73 to which the catch seat 74 is attached and the bracket 77 of the pawl 78, so adjust this bolt as described above. If both brackets are set at a predetermined distance, the distance between the panel catch 74 and the pawl 78 will always be constant, so when the catch 74 stops at the predetermined position, the pawl 78 will also move accordingly. It will stop and wait at a predetermined position.

Then, the peripheral edge of the panel P is fitted into the seat 74, and the claws 78 are press-fitted between the inner surface of the panel P and the leaf spring B, as shown in FIG. When the pawl driving air cylinder 82 is activated in this state, the four pawls 78 move toward the center and push the leaf springs inward, causing the springs to come off the pins A, causing the panel P and the mask M The engagement relationship with is released.

のである。 Incidentally, while the claws 78 and the catch seats 74 are waiting at their respective predetermined positions as described above, the entire mask removing machine 4 to which these claws and the catch seats are attached cannot be raised or lowered as shown in FIG. It is raised via a frame 62 and a lifting air cylinder 63.
Therefore, the claws and the seat protrude upwards from the conveying surface of the chain conveyor 6 disposed on the upper surface of the mask removing machine 4. Therefore, no problem occurs for the mask removing machine 4 to accept the panel mask P/M supplied from above by the transfer device 3. Note that when the mask M fitted into the inner surface of the panel is removed as described later, the transfer device waiting above is activated by the signal, that is, the plate spring compression completion signal of the claw drive cylinder 82. The suction unit 45 of No. 3 adsorbs the panel P and rises, the pawl 78 opens in response to this ascent completion signal, and then the elevating frame 62 to which the pawl 78 is attached is lowered by the air cylinder 63. . Since only the mask M removed from the panel P is placed on the chain conveyor 6, this mask is successively discharged from the machine by the conveyor.

4a is for sucking the panel mask P/M centripetally gripped by the centering device 2, lifting it upward, and supplying it to the center of the upper surface of the adjacent mask removing machine 4. , as already stated. When the suction pad 44a in the transfer device finishes supplying the panel mask P/M to the mask removal machine, the suction pad 44a immediately releases the suction state and rises, and then the traveling unit 3
The suction pad 44a is sent back by the air cylinder 53 connected to the centering device 7, and the suction pad 44a is moved directly above the centering device 2 again. In other words, traveling unit 3
7 returns from the position D to the position C in FIG. At the same time, the suction pad 45a also suctions and grips only the panel P placed on the mask removing machine 4 from which the mask M has been removed.

After ascending, it again moves towards the left in Figure 10,
When the traveling unit reaches position D, it descends again and the suction state is released. In such a case, the panel mask P/M and the panel P will be released from each of the units 44 and 45, but at that time, the 10th
The suction unit 45 located on the left side in the drawings and FIG. 12 rotates 1/4 turn in the following manner to change the orientation of the panel P to which it is suctioned by 90 degrees. That is, as shown in both figures, a rotating lever 47 is fixed to the top of the suction unit 45, and this lever is connected to a U-shaped rotating guide 52 via a roller 48.
The lever 47 is configured to collide with the contact pieces 52a and 52b of the lever 47, and since the contact pieces are provided at positions separated from each other by 1/2 of the distance between C and D on the left and right with the position D as the center, the lever 47 As it moves to the left, the roller 48 provided at the upper end of the lever collides with one of the contact pieces 52a, and the travel unit 37 moves further while remaining in collision. Therefore, the rotating lever 47
is rotated clockwise as shown by the chain line in FIG. 12 to rotate the shaft 45b of the suction unit 45 by 1/4, thereby changing the direction of the panel P that is suctioned thereon.

In the above embodiment, a case was described in which the panel and the mask were engaged with pins at four points on the four circumferences, but it is also possible to implement the case with three pins or two pins. Also, air cylinders are used to drive centering devices, etc.
It is also possible to use an appropriate power source such as a hydraulic cylinder or an electric cylinder instead of the air cylinder. Furthermore, although two cylinders are used to set the position of the catch seat 74, this can also be done with one cylinder, or various configurations such as an intermediate stop type cylinder or an electric cylinder can be used. Significant labor savings can be achieved compared to the conventional type. In addition, according to the conventional type, when removing the mask from the panel, a separate mechanism was required to stop the rotation of the mask when compressing the engagement spring.
According to the present invention, since the plate spring is compressed while holding the panel through the catch, there is no risk that the mask will rotate, and therefore there is no need to provide a rotation stopping mechanism.
